New exception now showing in My Choice:

"We've submitted documentation to a Government agency and are awaiting a response."

Maybe final clearance prior to departure?

I paid $36, but it is more the first time you buy from them. Then you get a discount every time there after.

Do you install that yourself? I've always had the AT&T Store install mine, but it appears the installation is fairly simple with the included frame. I just haven't been brave enough to try it yet.

Anyone else order the Leather Wallet With Magsafe, shown the wrong color in your order? Apple, told me, I'd get to keep the wrong color for free. Nice bonus lol.
Nice! I ordered blue and it still shows blue. I wish now I had ordered back or brown because I'd be perfectly happy with either of those...for free!

I had the same yesterday; its going to go through 3 exceptions, the first being the Apple volume one, then the second being the government agency, and the 3rd and final one being "Your package is in transit. We're updating plans to schedule your delivery."

I got the "final" one before the "government agency" one.

Ahhh annual grand tracking of new iPhones. Tracking via phone number before the shipping status is officially changed, checking serial number to look at production week & factory it's made in, hunting down UPS flights that our phones may be on... the fun begins!
And the drinking...lol šŸøšŸ¹šŸ·šŸ»šŸæ

This. I guess if I wasn't such an expert at iPhone launch day deliveries I might care, but this same thing literally happens every year. I don't really even bother checking my tracking info anymore, I know it'll be here Friday lol.

I think there's always new people here in these threads that are doing this for the first time. For me, these threads, watching flights, etc are one of the weird joys of day-one purchases. I mean, I used to stand in line for hours in the mall, at least this way we can all learn more about cargo airlines :D

Yeah, I ordered black to match the black silicon case. But Brown isn't bad either. So I'm grateful haha. I thought the order was being cancelled lol.

When I worked at an Apple Store many years ago, sometimes I would track our incoming pallet shipments. Most came from distribution warehouses and sent via FedEx Freight, but during launch times we'd get drop shipments directly from China.

Sometimes I'd see a pallet go from China Factory -> Anchorage Customs -> Midwest Airport -> Private truck delivery to store within under 24 hours. They'd ship something on actual launch day from factory and we'd have it for sale late Saturday in store. Miracles.

One launch year I had to get a delivery at 3AM from 2 dudes in a truck with additional iPhones, just a few hours before launch.

In the first few years they had armed guards accompany the UPS/FedEx trucks to AT&T and Apple stores for launch shipments, and then private security to watch the iPhones until launch day 48 hours later.
