Anyone else order the Leather Wallet With Magsafe, shown the wrong color in your order? Apple, told me, I'd get to keep the wrong color for free. Nice bonus lol.

I learned over the last few days you have 2 options. Get the ESIM activated, get one in store, or order one. If you buy from Apple and are upgrading your current SIM card will not work with 5G SA. So you will have to order one or go instore.

Mine was free. I made them give me a credit. It was like 11 bucks.
It wouldn’t be in the Apple box right? Since I’m presuming you got the sim free version?

That is correct. I got the sim free version. They don't put sim cards in the box. You are supposed to go to your carrier and get the sim. I was just letting people know that what is looks like if you are with T-Mobile.

Yeah I’m on T-Mobile. Going to the store to see if I can some. Hopefully they shouldn’t charge me..

Hmm, thanks for mentioning this. I’m not on a 5G plan just yet but I’m wondering if AT&T will make me switch SIMs if I do..

I don't know about AT&T or any other carrier. I just know what T-Mobile has told me.

I’m on T-Mobile and ordered sim free as well. I know my old sim will still work. The R15 is the “new” sim but the old one will work just fine. More important is that they all have Qualcomm chipsets so MUCH better signal (less battery drain trying to hold signal) than the old Intel modems.

Unfortunately FlightAware's tracker is currently only tracking UPS flights. The phones are likely to take a chartered flight from ZZ to Anc

Did they give you any grief about getting the sim before you had the phone? I’m on Sprint now T-mobile, and curious what my T store experience will be like.

Interesting AT&T made me change from the family plan we were on that had mobile shared data when we preordered the iPhones last week. Granted it was an ancient plan so that maybe why but I only had the option of 2 unlimited plans and both had 5G access included.

Did you order from AT&T? I bought the SIM free version from Apple so they have no way of knowing until I put my SIM in.

I think this might be new, but not positive. My iPhone 12 Pro showed a delivery date of Wednesday the 21st last night. Today when I woke up, the 21st was gone and it simply said:

Scheduled Delivery

Please check back later for scheduled delivery.

Under delivery options I have the option to modify my delivery date or time. I cannot change my delivery date to anything earlier than the 26th, but when I follow the instructions to change my delivery time (note, time, not date), it still says:

Original Delivery Window

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM, 10/21/2020

And I have the option to change the two hour window, for instance to 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM (as opposed to noon). This costs $8, so I'm not going to do it, but I wonder if doing it would increase my chances of receiving it on the 21st.

My Apple Pencil came FedEx. My 2 MagSafe chargers, Silicone case, Smart Folio, and screen protector are coming UPS along with the phone...

Weird, I had a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G on T-Mobile with the old SIM and got 5G without issue...

Interesting my MagSafe charger and clear case both came by way of FedEx, and were delivered on a Saturday.

Well, my second job boss told me a few mins ago to get a 12 mini on launch day to replace my SE 1st Gen work phone :) I thought the pre order season was done for me and now I have to do it again on Nov 6th :) Meanwhile I have plenty time to play with my 12 Pro which is coming on Oct 23rd :)

No, from Apple but picked AT&T as my provider. Luckily the new plan is base cost of $2 more than we were paying for the previous plan so not a big deal.

I hope so because the LTE reception here in my work building is so bad I can barely send an iMessage sometimes.
