If it is CAO1007, then it's a flight UPS chartered. They are probably able to do automatic triggers of "scan" notifications when their planes land/takeoff, but might have to have someone do it by hand for charters. And that person probably has other things to do as well, so they enter those "scans" on a when they can basis.

Going back to the days when scan entries were only loosely tied to when stuff was actually scanned.

Anyone waiting up to see reviews drop early am, I can't sleep now if I wanted to.

I'm confused that they seem to think that we track planes because we're worried UPS will lose them or something if we don't.

No, we just overly anthropomorphize our phones and want to see where they've been, and how their journey is. Nothing silly like worrying about the carrier losing them, sheesh.

We don't think that, we just think its hilarious to track the wrong plane for hours 😂 😂

The time taken to track flights that ended up being the wrong flight is hilarious regardless of where you live. You can't begrudge us a chuckle lol

Until yesterday I got an email it changed to Oct 26 - Nov 2 window.

What. :'(

It actually might not be the wrong plane. It appears the issue is that UPS chartered some planes for the long haul from China this year, and the tracking doesn't appear to be up to the usual quality as a result.

I guess you guys don't track planes because DPD or something like that?

Imagine getting excited, the plane spotters camped outside Chicago airport, photograph it landing, watch them unload that precious cargo......of Covid-19 masks from China 😂

Oooh, my delivery window slipped from a four hour afternoon window on Weds, to "by 9pm" on Weds.

Silly Brits, everybody knows everything UPS goes through Louisville, not Chicago. 🤗
