As a hardware geek the A14 is so exciting for me, I cannot wait to get the first Apple Silicon Mac or MacBook as well, I will surely see you all in that preorder thread. Back to the iPhone 12 Pro though, the camera improvements all around and the new lowlight improvements that having the Lidar scanner bring is really cool.
Completely agree with you. I imagine a MacBook where we can run all ipad apps on a quality oled or microled screen that can do Dolby Vision with a real battery life of 15-20 hours along with full MacOS experience. Well I am just dreaming I know

I was lucky to have the Qualcomm modem on my iPhone X (actually not exactly because as soon as I realized I had the intel one on my first iPhone X, I exchanged it for a Qualcomm one). So the experience was flawless. Good to have it in iPhone 12 as well
Haha, I remember the whole fiasco with people figuring out which modem they had and trying to swap them out. I couldn’t blame them. The difference in signal quality was THAT serious. Intel modems truly suck at hanging onto a signal.

I get to imagine something truly incredible coming from a 18 Air, which my 11 Pro Max is more than 2x the performance of, let alone the new A14, let alone whatever the A14X brings, and then finally let alone what Apple Silicon in a MacBook will bring. This is why I am not sleeping at night.

Because no one can track the flight to KY. There's no matching scan. I guess we will find out tomorrow morning where we land.

So where are my EU buddies at? Don't say they're on the UK thread ;-)

No movement on my order yet except "Preparing for shipment", ordered within 2 mins of the pre-order becoming available. Just really hoping they're doing what they did before, which is ship them to the EU first as a big batch and then once arrived in my country the shipment status updates for individual orders... They even charged my CC already on the first day (not a reservation, full amount charged). Delivery date still set for the 23rd, no updates on UPS MyChoice.

So is the current theory that all our cargo just quickly got transferred onto Flight HL7620 in under 30 mins?

I have been in supply chain operations for over 10 years, rented charters to customers and worked on many occasions with major ones; ups, dhl, fedex etc. i have never had any case where they can unload a pallet in 26 minutes and I am talking about a single pallet, let alone transfer a monster load of goods from one plane to another. But of course this is Apple working with UPS so we can never be sure

my guess is still the same as I previously posted. Our iPhones have not departed yet and perhaps transferred within ANC.

My guess is this will be our flight that I linked below. I might be wrong but thats my prediction

My guess is that our phones are still onboard CA1007. Since customs wasn't required, UPS was able to scan the cargo in and out in 26 minutes.

CA1007 departs ANC at 2:10 am AKDT and arrives in SDF (Louisville) at 11:52 am EDT.

Just a guess.

This is my thought, like logically you think something and then I remember Apple is a Fortune 1 company and could literally arrange special shipping anyway they want to for these big launches.

Why would there be a depart scan already then?

That's a good question. My guess is for efficiency. Since the cargo stayed on aboard, minimal inspection was required. UPS scans it in and then scans and out. Then they're done with it and the plane is ready to depart on schedule. My experience is that scans are not always exact activity times. It also makes sense to keep the cargo on the plane that is going where the cargo needs to be. Again, all a guess.

I smell a repeat of what happened in China, we think its one plane, but wake up to see some plane that arrived 3 or 4 hours earlier with our matching arrival time and a new departure time from KY when we wake up.

AT&T has said that the sim card you have now can be switched to your new phone or you can use your new SIM card. Both are capable of getting 5G. But it also depends on the data plan you have...unlimited.

Perfect, thank you!

Where did you come up that idea? :)

If CAO1007 was our original arrival flight, this is the same flight being routed to KY. Is every arrival being routed to KY is my question.

I dont have much experience in the US but on the Europe side but I mean what’s the chance of a flight starting from ZhengZhou to ANC and then being routed to SDF other than Apple products? Unless most cargo is being routed to SDF for imports, this might be ours.

However, ups scan times are still irrelevant. In either way, ups scans doesnt make any sense to me. I guess we will know better tomorrow and I definitely need to go to sleep already..
