My kumquat MagSafe case arrived today. The color is much better than some of the pictures I've seen posted looked like. Much better in person. Can't wait to pair it with my PB on Friday!!!

If you do the UPS Store, it can. But if you do request a hold for pick up at the UPC CC, it normally does not add a day or two to pick it up. Of all the pre-orders, I've always requested a hold for pick up at the UPS CC and I was able to pick it up on the day of. I already requested a hold for pick up at UPS CC for my 12 Pro so I'll be picking it up on the 23rd.
Should I wait until i get a departure scan from KY to change it to CC pickup or now that it's on US soil/departed AK is it ok to do it now?

The same happened for me last year. Wednesday, I’m all excited until 9pm comes and goes and still no iPhone. Thursday, I’m thinking... the UPS driver must have been swamped with deliveries, I’ll definitely get it today - NOPE! Friday, I’m off work and I’m waiting and waiting, constantly checking my UPS My Choice app and YES, the driver is on my block! Run to the door in anticipation of him coming on my porch to ring the bell only to see the driver walking past my house with box in hand as if he is delivering to a different address. Ran outside and asked if the delivery was for me and he looks at the box and says “Oh, yeah it is!”
I really do not like UPS and wish that Apple would go back to using FedEx.

LOL! It's the same experience for me, they love to walk right past my house and deliver to my neighbors. Hence why I pick up at UPS CC every year...

Has anyone called and spoken to a UPS agent to confirm if their delivery is in fact scheduled for tomorrow?

I tried... can't even get to speak to a CSR, the system just hung up after said they'll transfer the call to a CSR

Just got a text for mine saying delivery tomorrow.
That'll be interesting to see if they actually come through.

A little trick I learned recently when I was expecting an Apple purchase to be delivered by UPS- I happened to order a UPS overnight delivery with an early delivery time on the same day as the Apple and they brought my Apple device more than 6 hours earlier than their 2- 5pm estimated delivery! They apparently only wanted to stop at my house once that day.

Please use my UPS link so that I get my cut of your overnight delivery charges for tomorrow. :😁: Just joking about the "cut", but serious about the early-in-the-day delivery by UPS!

Random slightly off-topic question, but you'd think Apple would be fine with selling me another 20W charger when I am in-stores on Friday, picking up my phone? I ordered one online for my wife, but figured I might as well grab another. Do I bother ordering online for shipping or even store pickup when I will already be getting my phone via in-store pickup? I'm assuming whoever is helping me can just grab one and ring me right up?
It wouldn’t hurt to order one for pickup to speed up the process. IMO

I am jealous of people getting the text confirmations from UPS, while at the same time know I would be bugged if UPS was texting me so I think I will leave it alone.

Change to UPS CC when it can no longer possibly be delivered on Thursday. :😁: That will happen because it will not move to your locale until Thursday evening/Friday morning.

It will be waiting for you on Friday when UPS CC opens.

I've been doing this preorder dance since the iPhone 3G. Once this first batch of iPhones gets scanned into Louisville, the delivery date will likely be updated to reflect the real 10/23 delivery date. They will not be delivered early. My Pro and regular 12 are within this first batch, waiting to be scanned in Louisville. If I'm wrong, I'll happily eat crow. But history isn't on our side for early delivery.

@Theyayarealivin have you gotten a date on yours? I've noticed almost exactly when you post your updates, my tracking information matches yours. I'm in Hawaii, so I don't expect tomorrow, but I did have the 10/21 date but its since dropped off to "Please check back later for scheduled delivery." (Saturday I think?)

I think that this year I’ll try for in-store pickup. This waiting for 11/6 is driving me batty, but I’m enjoying reading the 10/16 preorder posts.😂

It's showing 10/21/2020 with please check back later for scheduled delivery. I think we might we waiting till Friday.

Past previous years, i've always done them right after I located my package after UPS created the label and still was in China and never had issues requesting a hold for pick up at UPS CC. Once the request is made it's there in the system.

I still think it's most likely to be Friday, but there are some things this year in the tracking that seem different than other years, so I might say it's a 10% chance they get delivered early.

Just got a notification that mine will be delivered tomorrow between 9:15-1:15 MST.
While 99.99% certain they'll come on Friday based on past performance, it is quite exciting to contemplate Apple will be allowing Wednesday deliveries.

Obviously no one at UPS or Apple is reading this thread or they'd have shut down all the Wednesday delivery fantasies! :😁:

So, my apartment is the only unit in the building, and I don't have a unit number for a garden level unit.
The UPS app told me they 'couldn't find my address', when the truck was standing half a block from my apartment. Apparently he's a new guy and I did tell him I'm expecting something on Friday, so he'll keep that in mind.

Regardless, I decided to hold it for pick up at the customer center, which is about 2 mi from my apartment anyway. However, I didn't get any email confirming the change, and when I go back to UPS My Choice, it still shows my home address as delivery address. Any idea why that might be? Anyone else who tried to hold for pick up and didn't receive an email confirming the same?

I live in a standalone apartment away from the other multi story apartments and UPS passed me by for a couple runs on items that I purchase and I had to call UPS and tell them this is an apartment not a house. They told me since I did not have an apartment letter or number, they thought the address was wrong. My apartment has its own address and couldn’t figure out why they couldn’t figure this out. So I put ”A” letter on my apartment door, and from that point forward and no issues.

I just called the UPS 800 # and spoke to an agent. After entering my tracking information the automated system tells me that my package has a “scheduled delivery date”. Then I followed the prompts and spoke to an UPS agent. The agent I spoke with said that since this is an international package the UPS My Choice delivery date is an estimate provided at the time the label is printed from the shipper. She then confirmed my tracking information will be updated again after the package moves through their system to show a delivery date of Friday the 23rd. Based on this, I asked the UPS agent to have package held for pickup at my local UPS Customer Center. She confirmed it will be available for pick-up on the 23rd.
