my regular blue 12 still says preparing to ship still, but says I'll get it on Friday.(I ordered three minutes after launch) I'm just going to assume I will and not look again until Friday day.

LOL at the people who get so mad and upset that ppl are excited here about getting a phone early. Have y'all seen the **** thats happened this year?
Tracking flights and packages might be more nerve wracking than camping out outside of Apple stores.
Same situation here. Still preparing, coming to Canada for Friday it says though still.
No one is mad, its just not coming tomorrow. No matter how you pray. UPS back end will re adjust by wed night or thur morning. There are always delays in info annually.
UPS sent me an email about my iPhone 12 arriving tomorrow - but let's be real, ain't no iPhone gonna be dropped on my doorstep until Friday. Haha.

If any of you do happen to get your phones tomorrow, postpone activation and immediately go purchase lottery tickets.
I wonder if UPS made a system change that is accidentally classifying these things is deliverable on Wednesday. If so I would not want to be the programmer responsible for the amount of noise they will get tomorrow.
In normal circumstances in years past, I would 100% count on UPS holding the phones until Friday, but since we're in a COVID year, I'm not sure if UPS even have the capacity to hold the shipments for couple days, there is a small chance this year is an exception and phones get deliver early.
I also got the email for UPS delivery tomorrow, but it's currently in Alaska so not holding my breath. Expecting it Friday as well.
Why would our packages be handled by the Worldport Freight Facility and not the Worldport Sort Facility?
Maybe Apple only allows early shipments every 10 years.

My white 12 is in preparing to ship as well as my iPad Air. Both Friday delivery. My assumption is it’s in a warehouse close by (possibly TN as that was where my watch came from)
I just requested my package to be held at my local UPS CC, and the scheduled delivery date changed to 10/23/20 by 2100hrs PST. I'm going to pray that changes to 10/21/20 UPS CC Pickup at 1000hrs PST lol. Maybe I'll get lucky, and the package handlers unloading the truck will see my package is being held at the CC and make it available for pickup on a fluke!
Regardless I either pick-up on 10/21, 10/22, or 10/23 at 1000hrs PST and don't have to wait for delivery, so that's a plus!

For real. Some people actually seem angry that people are even commenting the word “early.” I don’t think a single person has claimed insider information or stated anything absolute. I have cautious optimism about the whole thing and enjoy chilling with you guys, virtually at least haha. Can not wait for the comment “eVRy yeAR pEoPle dO thIS, aPPle haz agREemEnts wiff uPS!” We.know.
Yeah, let people live. Folks have no idea what 2020 may have brought someone else. Celebration and excitement is much needed. I’m celebrating too.
