So when you see that the new iPhone 12 and 12 Pro have 6.1-inch displays, 12 years of iPhone experience are going to make you think these are iPhone XR/11-sized devices. They’re not. In hand, in pocket, and to the eye, they feel and look like iPhone X/XS/11 Pro-sized devices.

I think we will! I wouldn't be surprised if we get some late tonight or overnight... I have no evidence to base that off of - other than past experiences with pre-orders.

for those with October 30-November 2 delivery...

Check back to some older forum posts — I’ve experienced every iPhone release and have always received it on release day even if it showed a different timetable.

I’m considering the shortages too..the only big debacle was the introduction of the white iPhone 4s...even then many got there’s on release.

I hope you’re right. It could be mine is in the US already which could be why I haven’t been able to see anything on UPS yet.

Thursday we started getting import scans. Like 8 or 9 am is around when it started I think. People without scans saw import and shortly after a lot of previous scans from days before filled in too.

OH, you're talking about last year? My pre-order last year was done through Verizon and was shipped with FedEx. I remember my phone didn't move until Thursday, though. That seems to be the way it's done every year.

We'll definitely see an import scan tomorrow. for me I can see two ways of how my package can get to me. If I get the import scan before 12 PM, mine will likely get on the truck at around 1:30 pm and head on it's way toward Wisconsin. Otherwise, if it was to get on the plane, it would be around 4:50 am to flight out.

Last year my 11 pro max was overnighted via truck and not on the plane.

Wow! That is interesting. I thought they said before that you needed a 20 w charger? Maybe that was just implied, to get us to buy another Apple product?

I think it’s partly that, but mainly because they no longer sell the 18 watt charger, so they have to put the next closest compatible one (20 watt) on there on the package and website.

Otherwise people would complain about not being able to find an 18 watt charger.

Nope... the import scan happens in Louisville. UPS has until Thursday afternoon if it wants to move the final leg in the US via ground, and early AM Friday if it wants to do so by air.

last year i only saw the ups app update soon as i received an out for delivery txt that friday morning. Web and mobile is at times different, i check both.
