I have been trying to get my photos to sync from the cloud all day. I have 14,000 photos. The ones on the phone are going up and I can see them on the other devices I have but no photos will appear on the iPhone 12. I tried signing out and in, rebooting, etc. At one point all the photos appeared and were downloading then instantly disappeared. Any ideas or other people having same issue?

I used the iPhone transfer feature to transfer all the data from my old iPhone to the new 12. Online it said this was faster than iCloud restore. It took an hour or less whereas iCloud restore takes many hours. All 6,038 photos and 66 videos transferred over to the new iPhone. Good luck.

Ok so I ended up getting an old friend to swing by the old apartment I lived in in Albany NY and overnight the phone back to KY for $97 freaking dollars. I gave him $150 for the effort. I am going to call Apple tomorrow and tell them I want them to either give me a gift card for the amount I had to pay for it to be shipped back, or give me 2 years of AppleCare + for free. I asked them to change the address 4-5 times this week. Reasonable? Think it will work?

Do I need to get an esim activation card from AT&T?

IF you have the new AT&T sim card you are fine. If you are using an old AT&T sim card you might as well call them and activate ESIM because you aren't getting any 5G speeds if its available

Picture in Picture doesn’t work in safari for me. It did in the 11 pro Max on iOS 14.1.

You have to enable it. I had too

Got the phone today, love it. Just got the chance to look at the charges. Did anyone else also paid in full with credit card, to have an extra "pending" Apple Care+ charge hanging around? I got charged the full amount (phone + apple care) then there was another charge just for the amount for Apple Care. Probably nothing to worry about, but that's rather weird that Apple's system would do something like this.

it is now 630 and my phone is STILL waiting to activate. wtf is going on? i've waited more than half a days worth of work for this phone to activate.

I had this issue with my X on launch day and a three-way call between my carrier, me, and Apple still didn’t fix it. Each side kept blaming the other. I had multiple emails back and forth with the carrier rep that tried to help me on phone because he had to clock off and he wanted to keep helping me out. Long story short I went to an Apple Store near me the next day, explained the problem, an employee brought a new iPhone and it went through on first try. Sometimes it’s the device not the server. It was a nightmare for me at the time...

Does someone have a magsafe charger and a non magsafe case, curious how well the magnets work through an aftermarket case. Does it still grip onto the back of the phone or fall off when you pick it up?

It was enabled in Settings. I tried turning it off and back but no luck.

The sim or did they activate the E-sim? The physical sim would be in the phone.

LOL true! Sorry they activated the e-sim which I hadn't experienced with the 11. My old sim is still in the 11 and I think that was what I was trying to tell them may be holding up the 5G? I know many others have said a new sim is a must for the real 5G.
