My phone has finally moved to shipped status! Delivery date is estimated to be Friday 10/30. I have the slimmest chance on the planet it’ll arrive a day early but I pray to all that is mighty that it does. We leave early Friday morning and I’d so appreciate not having to miss it. SIGH 😔

Or have my husband hella mad at me for making us wait for it instead of driving first thing to Tahoe. LMAO!!

I’m going from the X to the 12 pro and it feels heavy. Almost uncomfortable in one hand. Wondering if I’ll stop noticing it after a while.

You’ll get used to it. It’s easy to adapt. Remember missing the Home Button at all? 🤣

UGH my 12 pro was originally estimated for 10/30, and I was charged yesterday, then it flipped into SHIPPED this morning! Still shows a 10/30 delivery date, and it's still in China. This is what I get for preordering my husband and son's phones first, they're coming today! (first world problems, I know)

I ordered mine at 5:00am on Oct 16. It said "delivers Oct 23" until yesterday when it changed to Oct 30. I'm getting to hear stories about phones arriving and watch unboxing videos while my phone is still in China.

it is now 630 and my phone is STILL waiting to activate. wtf is going on? i've waited more than half a days worth of work for this phone to activate.

Turn Off Find My iPhone on the old phone, shut the old phone off, and then power cycle the new phone. Find My iPhone is usually the culprit.

UPS never came today. My phone arrived in Philly on 10/22 and then somehow went back to Louisville on 10/23. UPS and Apple were incredibly rude and unhelpful on the phone, lying about the status of the shipment and passing blame to others. Just a horrible launch experience this year.

Same exact issue for me. Apple support and UPS support are not helpful, just saying, and I quote:

Your order for the iPhone 12 Pro is still being delivered and may arrive to your doorsteps between October 23 - 24, 2020.
Once your order has been handed over to the carrier for delivery, you will receive a shipment notification email with an estimated delivery date. This is automatically calculated based on distance from the warehouse location to your address.
Delivery will take 1-3 business days after the order has shipped. All delivery lead times are estimated.

LOL no sh*t thanks, it shipped 10/18 so its already 5 days later.

I'm generally not very bullish on Apple "support" as of late. Just a few months ago I had a build to order 2019 iMac which had a fan failure causing the whole machine to fry just DAYS after warranty ended. After they charged me hundreds of dollars to fix this, they damaged the display glass during the repair and told me "too bad", make sure you buy applecare next time. lol, right. yet here I am buying their phone.

The only thing I’m wishing is that I had preordered with an in store pick up instead of the dreadful shipping method. I’ll never select to ship again. It’s not worth the anxiety.


Anyone who held their shipment at a UPS customer care center... how soon did you make the change in your shipping?

I’m weighing out my options. I’m scared it’ll come late evening on Friday while I’m not home or have anyone to go by and wait there.

If my window is the inevitable “by 9 pm” delivery I can have younger brother hang out at my house and wait for it. I’ll have to bribe him to stay up past his bedtime.

I definitely want to feel it in my hand! I was going back and forth between the mini and the 12 pro (I got mine today). As soon as the mini is out I would like to see it in person, but even then I’ll be past the 14 day return policy for the pro 🤷🏼‍♂️

That’s the issue for me too. I want to feel it in my hand to see how it is. I could return this one and just wait for it to come out, but I haven’t decided yet if I want to do that

I ordered on 16th by 5.04 am got 30th delivery date. My order status on apple store changed to shipped. But tracking information is not yet in UPS does this mean my iPhone is not shipping from China?

This is exactly where I’m at but we won’t know until we get actual information on the shipment. This will be the longest week of my life, I can feel it now!

I really hated launch day - first time disappointed.

Next year - won't bother pre-ordering, just ordering at the Apple Store the day before launch.

I just posted a thread on this but my curious mind had to know if my silver 12 Pro was PVD coated like the other colors. Happy to report it is raw stainless steel! Above you can see metallic transfer from polishing a small part of the stainless frame.

Mine is a sim free model. I'm not sure if I need a new SIM card. I mean it does work, phone call and data works, but I'm not sure if 5G will work. I haven't tested 5G yet.

I stopped by Verizon to get a new SIM for my 12 Pro. The one that came with my 11 Pro in December 2019 was the previous gen, Verizon texted me saying I need a new SIM for the 12 Pro. The new SIM says 5G on top.

With some luck (even if it’s China) it’ll be delivered in 1-3 days. That’s Express shipping timeframe. You’ll see info in a bit. I was also getting that “no details” information but after a few tries it showed me the first scan.

It’s incredible that we ordered our phones during the 5 a.m. hour and got screwed out of launch date delivery.

I never want to preorder an iPhone down the road if I can simply wait until release date and lock an iPhone in on launch date or the day after.

Not worth waking up at 5 for all of this stress.

Sucks you got screwed out of your initial launch date delivery.

I don’t mind waiting the extra days next week... I just want to be home when they deliver it (really hoping Apple is under promising and over delivering on the 10/30 date) and I don’t want my phone to go out for delivery on the morning/day I leave.
