Yay someone else who got the regular 12! I got the green color and I love it. I also much prefer the glass back over the matte. If they had the 12 pro in green with the glass back I would’ve gone for it
I think I prefer the glass back aesthetically, but physically I do still like that satin finished glass on the Pros. Both models have entirely unique aesthetics and it makes it hard to choose.

This definitely is one area where the regular blows the pro away. The frosted back is so slippery, can’t stand it. The regular actually has grip and I don’t mind using it caseless.

Has anyone seen this? I don’t remember seeing anything like this in the past on UPS.

Curious if anyone else uses their phone without a case? I prefer the feeling of the phone itself in my hands. I used my 11 pro max without a case too

Did you post a picture? I think it's a great looking color. I mainly got the pro for the small camera bump (which I know isn't necessary) but I fell in love with that Pacific Blue color.

I would love to but I'm not brave enough. Finger prints are the bane of my existence. I need the case for this reason. Oh and also because I quit on Apple Care.

Yea that’s why I don’t like that frosted back either. It’s way too slippery on my hands. The glass gives me more grip. I use mine caseless too

Since my Pacific Blue 12 Pro is still in ZZ China, I went to the Apple Store this morning and picked her up.

No muss, no fuss, no delays, no nail biting....

Now I have to arrange return with Apple when the online order that I am so disgusted with....

At least I got a nice Apple shopping bag for my troubles.....

Honestly I might do this for my wife’s iPhone 12 mini. When I checked the iPhone 12 pro on launch day for pick up. I noticed ALL color as long as it is the largest size was available at my local Apple store. I feel that it might just be easier.

I’m waiting for this to be the next step for mine! I’m on the step right before the “government submission” status. My AW6 was stuck in Shanghai for 4 days awaiting release by customs, so this might be another way of their saying something similar. Now I am anxious for the next update!

From what I've read on here this is perfectly normal. It seems customs has to clear (twice?) before departure from China. It probably has to clear again upon arrival in the states. I wish my tracking had this info already. Mine just reads "Your package is in transit. We're updating plans to schedule your delivery. / The package will be forwarded to a UPS facility in the destination city."

Yah, never will pre-order again - hoping, agonizing, and paying for something that won't arrive on launch day....

From now on, it's the Apple store - I have so many to choose from within 30 miles - it's insane!

I loved my pickup - they scan your Apple QR code and in about 2 minutes, they bring out your phone.

I hate cases I want to hold the glass and aluminum not a piece of silicon rubber. I am gonna pay $8 a month for AppleCare+ coverage in the event my phone is damaged I can have a replacement overnighted for the $99 deductible.

Can you pre-order a phone (12 Pro Max next week) and have it arrive at the local Apple Store and absolutely not get sold to someone else?

Definitely look at the options to pick up in store… That is the route I would go. If for any reason you’re not able to snag one for pick up and the delivery dates are pushed out I would wait until the date of the launch and order one then for in-store pick up. What we learned during this 12 / 12 pro presale is that a lot of us should’ve just waited and ordered on the day of lunch.

Or just selected in store pick up from the get go.

See above post. We learned the hard way. But the promax and the minis are going to be highly sought after. This being so close to Christmas time I would avoid shipping with everything in my power.

Yes phones reserved for pickup should not be sold, they are marked with a pickup tag, how they removed that and sold your phone is beyond me, as they would clearly know that the phone was imm fact reserved for pickup. Someone made a big mistake when that happened.

Sorry to hear about your experience. My experience so far has been positive, but over at west coast it means I have to get up at 5am to do the pre-order, not sure if I want to do that again. I have also done launch day pick up and like you said the experience has been great as well.

I can't as I am a male and don't carry a purse or backpack during the week.
I work with 2 iPhones and both are on my waistband using belt clips.

I asked today when I picked up the 12 if there were any belt clip holders and they said no - only generic pouches with flaps.

It's tough finding belt clip holsters for iPhones without looking too clunky like an Otterbox.

I have been using with much success: Encased from Amazon.

I have them both on my XS Max and now my 12:

I’m stuck between Pacific Blue and Gold. I don’t like Graphite and Silver look too white to me. I originally wanted to get Silver until the Pacific Blue was announced. 11 more days for the Pro Max/Mini preorder day.

Gold basically looks silver. The white supposedly is pearly white again. I’m going graphite or pacific blue
