So my update,

UPS Friday - waited for delivery all day. Finally had to be at the hospital for work by 5 PM for my shift. So missed the package and it said online that delivery was attempted at 8:30 PM EST. Came home at 8:15 AM EST the next day. No note was left on my door which is unusual.

UPS Saturday - I am home and eagerly awaiting package delivery. I keep staring out my window, etc... I also keep refreshing UPS online tracking. My windows face the main street and I did see a UPS truck enter the apartment complex at around 1 PM EST. I was sure this was going to be it! Then 5 minutes later saw it leave... Figured it could be some priority mail... No problem. I'll keep waiting. 4 PM EST - refresh UPS online tracking - Delivery Attempted at 3:15 PM EST. What???? I was shocked. I was literally sitting on my couch waiting for the package. I heard no knock. Literally doubt they even came... Mind you my couch is like 10 feet from the door...

I call UPS at 4:30 PM EST - frustrated, but respectful and tell them my situation. She acknowledges that is is very unusual and first time she's heard of a note not being left on the first "try". I also tell her there is no way someone knocked on my door at 3:15 PM EST for delivery. She say's she's sorry and that Monday will be another attempt. I tell her to please call the driver and tell the driver to come back! She acknowledges my frustration, and says she will notify dispatch and takes my number down. She says dispatch should call me within the hour.

6:30 PM EST - I call back. No call from dispatch. They say again - oh Monday will the attempt. I re-iterate my story and she says let me upgrade to dispatch as URGENT. She assures me I will receive a call within the hour because she has documented properly this time.

8:00 PM EST - I call back. No call from dispatch. I tell them I was told because of the URGENT status I will definitely be receiving a call from dispatch. I am told Monday is the attempt. I re-iterate my frustration. Finally he says ok it will be delivered by the end of the day today. I ask, what does "end of the day" mean? He says until 9:30 PM. He also says I will DEFINITELY get my package today. He is assuring me that this time I will definitely get a call and the package.

10:00 PM EST - I call back. No call from dispatch. No package. I am told sorry it's past the time for deliveries. I told them that it sounded like through all my day UPS just wanted to get the customer off the line and push me off... She says sorry, Monday is delivery.

Long story short,

I understand this is not an emergency. But what is wrong is the fact that there is no note left. No KNOCK on the door... I live in an apartment. I know for a fact I did not miss this knock on the door. This is unreal and I cannot believe this... I thought I would share my "horror" story to you all. Ha.
I had a similar experience with USPS one year. I ordered from Amazon and the package was turned over to USPS for final delivery. I was in my dining room all evening where I can hear anyone that touches the mailbox. The package was not delivered and USPS left a note in the system that the mailbox was locked (no lock on my mailbox) and no one answered the door. It wasn't an important delivery but I was mad that the driver would lie and just not attempt the delivery because it was late in the evening.
 
Well, at least yours is moving. My Friday delivery phone is still stuck at UPS Atlanta Facility since the Arrival Scan at 12:31 AM Friday. No update ever since. I'm patiently waiting to see what could possibly go wrong later tonight and will file lost package claim or call at apple with my angriest voice possible tomorrow morning. :confused:

* I did request hold at location yesterday since my delivery time would be later in the afternoon and picking it up at location will be sooner and easier for me since I'm off Monday, if it ever moved.

UPS, I had an Amazon package not delivered on Thursday and the excuse was the house humber was wrong. Funny thing, they delivered a package in the morning so maybe they missed it. On Friday, the UPS delivered my phone and package at the same time. At lease they rang the doorbell, which they usually don't.

That Amazon package? The address was correct. I think once it get's late in the day, and they only have a few packages left but maybe a long drive.. They just quit, come home and put in the system any excuse. Surely they should have a button - too far, end of day, or waiting on more packages to deliver to that area. IDK At least be more honest.

My phone has been moving again for several hours, but still no delivery date. When should that change?
Mine is “In Transit”. Hopefully going from the clearance center to the airport. Anyone know when the upcoming CGO-PANC flights depart? I expect that is when we will get departure or arrival/departure scans, and updated delivery dates.

ETA-I have only seen a Kalitta flight that was supposed to leave in a few hours but was cancelled. Ugh.

@engelke2010 @Wolfs and I are on a similar journey. But I have no idea if our phones are in the US or not

This is my last update so far... No idea if this means it's flown out of China or not. I've never cared about a shipment as I do about this one.

Now I'm totally freaked out about making changes to have it held at a UPS CC (which doesn't help me much because their limited hours conflicts with my work hours) or going under the stress of the UPS truck making the actual delivery. We don't get too many deliveries from UPS but my MagSafe case arrived around 6:15 p.m. on the 20th. Decisions, decisions... either or could slow down my chances. Anyway I lost my delivery date window but know I'll have one in approximately 24-48 hours if things go smoothly.

For those of you with delayed orders, I can share a crazy story that shows it can always be worse.

A few years back I pre-ordered the 7 Plus and it was scheduled to arrive on launch day. This was the first iPhone to feature lightning earbuds and no 3.5mm headphone port.

I pre-ordered through AT&T and was eagerly awaiting the Fedex delivery on the Friday launch day afternoon. Finally it came and FedEx left the package on my front porch and took off very quick before I could unlock the door.

The pic below is how I found the box on my door step, clearly opened. The iPhone box plastic had been unwrapped and removed, but left in the shipping box, and the actual iPhone and lightning earphones were gone and stolen from the package. The iPhone box was replaced in the shipping box. I still to this day don’t know why a FedEx driver would deliver that clearly opened package unless he was one stealing the iPhone.

So now I had an iPhone that AT&T recorded as delivered by FedEx on a 2 year installment payment plan with no actual iPhone and earphones. I called AT&T to explain the situation and reported the IMEI # on the iPhone as stolen so it could not be activated by anyone else in the US.

FedEx was no help and wouldn’t even let me file a claim, the police said there was no point in completing a police report.

Long story short, I spent at least 2 hours a day over the next 10 days on the phone with AT&T support trying to convince them the phone was stolen and to cancel my installment payment contract with AT&T.

Finally they did release me out of the contract and I was able to go to the Apple store and buy an iPhone 7+ Once I could find one in stock a few weeks later.
Since then I have never ordered an iPhone directly from AT&T only buying them from Apple. Also I much prefer UPS and fear FedEx for shipping.

Now I’m taking advantage of that $800 deal with AT&T And have to ship my old iPhone into them for a trade-in under the deal. At least it’s shipping via UPS ;).

They are still in Zhengzhou is my guess. No departure scan yet. I really wonder if they were supposed to be on that 5:30 AM Kalitta flight? Unfortunately, that could push us all back a day, which would not help you, @Bea220 Hopefully another flight will pop up on the schedule to save the day!

Mine is in a strange status as well. It shows clearance in progress for almost 24 hours. My status looks totally different than you guys. It had already cleared custom in China before.

The plot thickens! I called UPS and apparently there is an Internal scan not visible when you track that shows my missing phone en route to its final destination hub and “supposedly” will be out for delivery tomorrow. I’ll believe it when I see the scans at that hub in the morning.

Unfortunately I wrecked my 11 pro Max’s batter this year and it’s sitting at 90%, I’m def not getting 700 for this thing maybe. I’ll see, I half way don’t want to upgrade. Struggling to pick a color.

I’m stuck between Pacific Blue and Gold. I don’t like Graphite and Silver look too white to me. I originally wanted to get Silver until the Pacific Blue was announced. 11 more days for the Pro Max/Mini preorder day.
 
I was the same way with the X. I dealt with it because I didn’t have a choice. My daughter was using it and she loved the size.

My daughter loves the size of the X as well, but she lost it so I had to get her another phone. All they had at the T-Mobile store was the 64gb purple 11. Now I’m debating if I should get her a 128GB 12 for Christmas, but I don’t like any of the colors. Maybe I’ll wait for next year and upgrade her phone then.

I don’t think it cleared China customs, I think it just cleared to leave the factory. Everyone gets that scan early in the process. My guess is your phone is probably there with mine and Bea’s waiting on a departure. We have many of the same earlier timestamped scans.
