I hope the guy you spoke to was right about not having to change plans and please keep us posted. What plan do you currently have? My brother also called and they even told him that the plan had to be changed, just saying.
I spoke with tech support this morning on an unrelated issue and asked about 5G requirements. The rep said it has to be one of the unlimited plans.

She also confirmed that a user can use their existing nano-SIM and utilize 5G (with an unlimited plan).

So if I pre-order online and pick up in store, could I change my mind and choose different color when I pick up my phone?
Depends on the stock availability. What I would do, is stand in line for walk-in reservation but i'm sure they will want you to choose a color and model.

Think I'm going with silver this time, my xs max and 11 pro were both black. There are barely any images of the 12 pro

Depends on the stock availability. What I would do, is stand in line for walk-in reservation but i'm sure they will want you to choose a color and model.
Last year, they made my brother chose the model, the color, and storage when he was in line. Plus with covid, and I don't know how busy they will be this year

Yea, you could stop at the apple store today and see what their plans are for next friday.

IF I get an iPhone 12 I will likely get the (Product)Red or the Blue. I don’t need a new iPhone yet. I just bought my iPhone SE 202 in August for my 1st iPhone

Having second thoughts about the Pacific Blue. I’ve always been a silver/white guy and am beyond worried the shipping dates are going to be horrible for PB. Already locked in the color during the pre-config process. To change colors or wait it out ???

Is anybody that has Verizon having an issue with prequalifying on the iUP? It states my account is not supported on Apple.com. But I am already part of it and have been and im getting the runaround from both Apple and Verizon.
I’m getting the same error. No one knows what’s going on.

Good thing there’s a staggered release, I’ll get an idea of what the demand is for each color before I order my 12 Pro Max. I’ll get blue either way, I just want to see if it has any delays.

Yea, I won't be pre-ordering tomorrow as I'll be getting the 12 Pro max, so tomorrow it would be good to see of which one will go fast.

How did it become cheaper from an older unlimited plan? I came from the Unlimited Choice II from 2004.

I forgot that I also signed up for Auto Pay, which saves $10/month per line for the first 4 lines, so the plan itself was prob exactly the same price, but they were showing the discount with AutoPay on the total.

It’s COVID - nothing is normal.
With our store, you have to have an appointment - shopping OR repairs, doesn’t matter. I kind of doubt you could just show up and get in then. Even walkups were being directed to scan a QR code to make an appointment.

Two ways to shop:
You can buy online for in store scheduled pickup, or schedule an appointment with a shopping specialist. For my Apple watch: on release day I noticed that the store had a watch with the band I wanted in stock vs. my preorder which was weeks away - so I bought online and scheduled a pick up appointment. A few days later I wasn’t sure about the Solo loop size, so I scheduled a shopping specialist appointment. I scheduled a shopping appointment to return the watch too but I had a repair appointment too that I scheduled 15 min apart.

Shopping appointments are only going 3 days out so I can’t tell what they’ll next next Friday.
Google ‘Apple shop with specialist’.

For Verizon - Did you try the phone number of the account, not of the phone? Someone said that worked, but I haven’t tried it yet.
The holder will get a text that you need to complete it, so I have to coordinate with that person to do one of mine.

My ATT one was easy to do - I used the phone number for that phone. But you need the ATT pin to complete it.

I’m getting the same error. No one knows what’s going on.
1st call: Apple said its Verizons issue
2nd call: Apple said my account is wrong
3rd call: Apple said the system is down
4th call: Apple said there is no prequal and i have to wait until tomorrow
5th call: Apple said wait until tomorrow and try and if it doesn't work to call them

I gave up and am keeping the current phone and coming off the program. This is unreal.

Yeah. I am the main account holder and I still get "Your Verizon account is not supported on Apple.com. You can purchase a full price iPhone once pre-orders begin." Nobody has a clue why this is coming up. So I'm pretty much stuck.

Do you receive any sort of employer discount through Verizon? Some (not all) employer discounts will make your account invisible to 3rd party (Apple, indirect Verizon stores etc) systems. Users on one of those profiles can literally only order at a direct Verizon store or Verizon online.

Super weird I just prepped my wife’s phone for the 12 tomorrow and we have Verizon, everything went fine.

Ok, so I have my husband’s app set up on his iPad with the iPhone 12. At first he didn’t care, now he wants to be sure he gets it next Friday. This is my first time ordering with Apple (he gets to be my test run for the Max later, lol), so I guess I better get this right!

for tmobile user: how to upgrade the phone? is it better from tmobile website or through apple store (choose tmobile at the checkout)?
TMobile appears to have a decent trade in offer. I've only been with them for almost 2 years, and this will be my first new phone in that time.
