Ironically enough, I used Apple Pay, so the items are being belivered to my home address.
Thing is, I’m currently in hospital, so I hope I’m out in time to take delivery.

Yes if you selected in-store pick up, your card will get charged sometime Thursday. and it's 100% guaranteed that it will be yours (unless they botched it up). They will hold it for you for 14 days.
A lot of times the packages get sent separately, because 1 or more items are coming from a different distribution warehouse.

Mine shows an exception logo and also says it has left Shang Hai, China. Don’t know what the exception is about. Maybe it was delayed in shipping?
If the order is still in the "Processing Stage" you actually can edit the address.
Since ordering there hasn’t been an option to change or edit the order in any manner, I spoke with apple chat this morning who have sent ‘a request’ for delivery address change - hopefully that’ll do it!

I have not received anything in MY UPS yet as well, but should see something by end of day.
Even my baltic blue leather link order with a shipment email and tracking number aren't in my UPS account yet. We'll get our info soon!
When I ordered my 12, I don’t think mine showed up till about Monday-Tuesday.

Interesting they charge a $5.99 fee now to pickup at UPS customer center...
iPhone 12 Pro Max Graphite 128 GB, ordered via the Apple Store app within 1 minute after launch, delivery on Friday the 13th. Gonna be a big bump from my current iPhone 7.

What? They are not a self storage facility. Their job is to deliver things to you. That is what is certainly more efficient to them.
They are probably tired of dealing with the mass number of people that order it and then immediately hold it at a center to simply to try to pick it up a little faster. If people don’t want it delivered - pick it up from Apple.
