Veterans day has banks and post offices closed, but not private carriers like FED-EX and UPS - they both work on holidays....
Signature required, but in reality due to the pandemic, the driver will need to hand it off to you and ask you for your name which he/she enters.
The driver will not let you touch their scan device.
My driver on the other hand, just tossed the iPhone 12 Pro onto my front door step at 8pm and ran off without ringing the doorbell!
Guess he was working too late and had to get home ???
So there is no option of signing in advance online and printing it to put outside?
Well given as one of the 9:20 crew who made Hong Kong and now am 20 minutes from Louisville I mentioned in another post here that there seemed to be another 9:20 crew that left Hong Kong same time but was 4 hours behind in and out of Anchorage. So as several have mentioned it appears the 9:20 batch is big and has been broken up with two smaller batches 4 hours apart and others still in ZhengZhou, I could be wrong but the break up at Hong Kong of two batches of 9:20’s makes me agree with you even as I hope we are wrong and they will just populate I am sure they will get there just in different batches. Isn’t this fun? LOL I have been in both kinds of groups before, it is frustrating to see your phone be in a later batch. But none of us sees them til 11/13 anyway LOLSo, I called UPS International Shipment Department. The UPS girl was very nice she put me on hold and said let me do a thorough research...
2 minutes later she comes back and advises. The package is still currently in China and there are no indication that it is in United States. There are no physical scans or delays. They are just behind moving the package.
9PM crew we will see an update hopefully today or tomorrow. But rest assured we are stuck in China

No option to have your signature in advance or leaving a note.
What you can do is thru the UPS My Choice app, place alternate delivery instructions (neighbor, UPS customer counter, UPS Access Point, UPS Store, etc...)
They send you a kit though. I'm surprised they haven't sent it already. When I bought my last AW the kit arrived before the watch.
If I don't get it by Friday I'll ask Apple when I pick up my 12 PM.
I agree I have been in both kinds of groups already. My luck of draw is I made it out on first of the 9:20 batches and now almost to Louisville. But yeah I have had phones come in late to Louisville on Thursday and still make it to my home town 2-3 hours away early in AM and out for delivery.
For Reference for those that want to pick up at their UPS CC Center, but that option is not showing up as a pickup option on their UPS My Choice page.

I ordered 3 phones from Apple on Friday (via ATT installment plan) all with delivery date of 11/13. Apple sent authorization to my credit card for the sales tax for all three that day. On Sunday I noticed that the sales tax charge for one of the phones posted to the credit card but as of now it's still pending for the other two. UPS My Choice is only indicating tracking number for one phone. So I have ascertained that only one of the three phones have shipped. Is anyone else in the same situation with a phone scheduled for 11/13 delivery not charged/shipped yet?
Wait, calling UPS about the tracking of an item, that is available to the customer, on an item that isn't due for delivery for another 3.5 days, because it potentially wasn't on the first known flight out of China to sit in Louisville?

Yeah this is the first time I’ve ever made the first batch. I’m landing in KY in a minute, was in the 11/7 8:00 batch for my 2 maxes. Will now hang out for 2 days before more movement on Thursday. Usually 2-3 flights to Denver so I’ll play the guessing game on which one it is.
Bummer, thanks. I am still not able to view my full tracking number despite logging in through MyChoice with the email address used for the order. Just have the last four digits of it still.
I could of had it Friday. I didn't feel the need to go to one of many stores in my area to get it, so I just ordered it. It is really nice. Hopefully it will complement the Pacific Blue really well.
Yes they do, for the most part they are EXTREMELY good at what they do. The trip from China to the US is less than 24 hours, so there is no reason for anyone to be concerned about their delivery, it's only Tuesday.
I have the same departure scan from AK....my phone was in the 8:00 crew...looks like the moved a lot of those last night

Yes, but if you actually take the time to go back to like around page 200 or so, there are some folks that are 11:57 pm arrival scan. If you look at my screen shot below, I have the 11:57 pm arrival scan and then departed 10/20/2020 5:50 AM scan, there were quite a few that also had the 11:57 PM scan but didn't have the depart scan and yet some of them actually stayed behind and waited for the next flight out. I'm sure this is the case for the 12 Pro Max as well. We shall see.
Same here and I was finally able to see the tracking information this morning in the UPS app.
