My new theory for Canadians is that we won't get tracking info until the phones arrive in the U.S. Perhaps it is me being naive but there is no way they would wait this long to ship from China and still deliver on time. That's my theory as to why ours are all stuck on 'preparing to ship' in both the app store and on UPS.
Or maybe they are shipping Fedex
 
I called UPS and they were no help. I just ended up requesting a pick up at the UPS Store, still shows 11/13/2020 on the confirmation page so I'll just bite the bullet and pick it up at the UPS Store on 11/13/2020. Plus, with this new reward system I get 50 points each every time I make a request for a UPS Store and with after 500 points I can redeem a gift card. Sounds like an incentive haha. I do have one for in-store pick up so I'm not worried about it. Since I'm a My Choice Premium member, it's free for to request a hold for pick up.
The rep I spoke with yesterday was useless as well. The rep this morning was really good.

Yea the rep I spoke to said I needed to contact apple to make the change request, which didn't make any sense because the request for hold for pick up is done through UPS and not Apple themselves.

It's still 11/13, but I'm hoping to pick it up in the morning. But for some reason the change I made isn't reflected anywhere in the tracking details, even though I was charged.
That's good that it's still 11/13. Yes it won't show up until after the import scan but normally once it gets to your destination and the driver scans it, it will show them of the change request.

That's what the rep said yesterday. She also couldn't understand how UPS has a locker on the same property as the Customer Center. :rolleyes:

UUUUUuuugggghhh as long as my transaction wasn't declined by Capital One I think I just bought the new MacBook Pro 13". I'll find out if I get the delivery on the 17th or 18th. I didn't even have time to think. I just... did it. :oops:
They typically won't. If you select UPS Store and on the confirmation page it says estimated delivery 11/13/2020, you will be able to pick it up on that day. If the UPS Store confirmation page says estimated delivery for Monday then you'll have to wait till Monday.

In the past, with apple products, I never had issues with UPS store pick up and never delayed it.

Hopefully it updates with the location once the iPhone is scanned/leaves Louisville. The rep on the phone repeated the address twice.
My email specifically says I can pick up at the CC between 9:45-12:45, or 3:30-6 starting Friday morning the 13th, and they'll hold it until the 19th. They also listed the specific address as well. I'm just going to trust it.

UPS Store pickup or UPS CC pickup? I've been told on multiple occasions that if you re-direct your package anywhere other than a Customer Center you will experience a delay in receiving your package.

I was in the process of doing this but I'm not going to pay an extra $6 just to possibly get my phone a few hours earlier, lol
This is not the $6 option. This is actually holding it at the customer center at the UPS distribution hub that it comes into. They have a counter off to the side for pickups. This isn't them delivering it from the hub to a CVS or a UPS store.

That’s what I usually do, too, but it’s saying if I choose that option, I won’t get it until Monday. 👎

UPS Store Pick up.

Well it depends but like I said I never experienced a delay in receiving my package when I requested the pick up to be at UPS Store. I always was able to pick them up at the UPS store on launch day. Plus it would say it on the confirmation page of when the estimated date was, if it shows 11/13/2020 you will be able to pick it up at that location on that date, no delays. If it shows for Monday then yes then it would add a day.

I doubt that I receive an email since I called. :(
 
For anyone looking to pick up at UPS Customer Center.

I e-mailed UPS to hold for pick up at UPS CC. Looks like there is now way to chooses that option any more in the app or on the web. Took about 2 hours to get the reply from UPS confirming. Status shows exception now, but I think it did that the previous years too when I requested hold for pick up. UPS normally delivers late at my house, like after 6pm most days.
