I live in Europe... TMobile site crashed. Went to the Apple site and also had issues. Just got through several hours later and got a Pro Pacific Blue 128gb.....we'll see when the estimated delivery ends up being.

Happy that I’m getting a 12 Pro 256 GB in Pacific Blue, but a little bummed that my delivery date slipped to 11/3 - 11/6 by the time I finished checkout! I started out as soon as the app opened up shortly after 7:00 am CDT, with a 10/23 date at first, but when I clicked Apple Pay (paying in full), everything stopped dead, and took nearly 10 minutes to wake up again. Guess the volume was a bit too much, once again!

Either a lot less people are interested this year or more people are holding off for the Pro Max / Mini than I anticipated.

Did a search and I may be able to circumvent the fee by just using my current nano-sim, which I just received two months ago.
I've done this most every year (but now use e-sim) and have had no trouble. I'm a att subscriber, purchased sim-free phone from apple and just switched the SIM card from old to new phone. Worked just fine. In the very early days of the iPhone you had to call into att to get it activated but not in the last several years.

First time that I did a pre-order for instore pickup and it was available locally. I think the last time I was in an Apple Store on launch day for a new iPhone was the 5s and I camped out the night before! How times have changed!

I have two pros ordered in Pacific Blue. I ordered the first one and clicked standard shipping, but was disappointed in the delivery date of 11/3-11/6. Then ordered a 2nd one with $8.00 express shipping which they say will be delivered 10/30-11/4. Sigh. I did not know it would have been faster if I clicked "pick up at store" Store is 45 minutes away but I would have done that. I'll see which one actually gets here first and cancel the other order I suppose. I do not need two of them. I would have gone to the store if only for seeing the other colors, as I also wanted to see the gold one.

This is the one thing that literally makes me mental about iPhone pre-orders, the deep, deep need to check the status every 2-3 hours. The next 7 days - time from when you place the order to the time when the phone is actually in your hands - doesn't quite feel like 7 days, more like 3 months for some goofy reason. ?

I know, right? We wait from announcement of event to the event, from event to preorder, then from preorder to delivery. This part is the longest. ?

Showed up for me. My hot tip is don't keep spamming the Apple website. Use UPS MyChoice from here on out. Another tip is to download the Flightradar24 app to track your package in the air as it travels too. It's super over ridiculous mega obsessive to do, but it's fun!

I see the 12 and 12 pro available, but the Apple Store app tells me that the 12 Pro Max and Mini are not available at all yet. Is that the same other people are seeing?
The 12 Pro Max and Mini are not available for pre-order at this time. They will be on 11/6/2020 for those two.

Ya the Apple website/App are useless now. It won't show any information until Thursday night. By the time it shows anything useful the phone is on the UPS truck for delivery.

Seems most carriers had better trade-in promotions than Apple.com this time. I liked Apple.com on prior upgrades, but this is my first trade-in. Anyone still do a trade-in through Apple even though carriers had better promos?

Just reading this made me go to the app and of course it’s giving an “orders not available at this time message”. Going to have to try from my MacBook on lunch.
It’s been doing that for the last 10 minutes for me, glad I’m not the only one. Must just be server issues. I was beginning to get worried.

Apple really do take the absolute pi$$ when it comes to customer service and it's only been getting worse. Announces 2 3 phones on the same day but the most expensive one won't be available for many weeks after the others? No other premium brand could get away with this.

After doing the trade in thing on ATTs website or disregard that step and just bring it in?

We should get more info soon, but the way it has worked in the past is you either bring it into the store without doing anything in advance, or you do the trade-in website and process via mail.

.. Apple of course would have had all 4 phones out together, even in September. ... but because of covid the factory was shut down for a while and couldn't work on phones and things were delayed. producing millions of 4 different types of phones is a lot to handle.
