Aw dude, you're the best! Thank you. I feel the same about you. You're lots of fun and your personality shines through on this forum. P.S. the people in this thread rock so much. Other threads 'round these parts feel a little dry...

But hey! Come on over... you could probably teach me A TON. I can't even find iTunes on this beauty. I remember skimming over something about iTunes but can't remember exactly what. Is the Music App where everything is at now? Did they ditch iTunes? Please remember I've been rocking a 2013 MBP with a burned retina screen for so long I'm way out of the loop! I'm also insanely old school and always backed up my phones to iTunes in place of the cloud.

FYI I'm posting from it. My husband says I have to keep it now... I think I may. Seriously I loved my 2013 MBP, retina burn an all... but this... wow. The keyboard is le nice. I also like the Touch Bar (Touch Bar haters! ?)
awwww, well thank you! It was a butter up comment, but it ended up so genuine!!! Yaaaay!!! ? Thank you for the kind words, and yes, you made this wait so much fun!!!

And yes, Apple Music is the new iTunes. All your media will be there. I seriously want to go for the Mac Mini, but I know I’d have to flex for the 16 GB, and I’m really curious if 32 GB is what will be offered. From what all the Silicon fans are saying, 8/16 GB is enough but time will tell.

I’ll probably wait a few months to buy one for myself. Hoping to see a 16” MBP or a 32 GB Mac Mini, unless a number of devs say 16 is enough. If you ever need direct help, you know where to reach me! ?

EDIT: also, you iOS/iPadOS backups are now off of Finder, if you still want to back it up on your MBP. Just plug it in to your MBP and find the device in Finder.

Understood. Everyone has different circumstances and needs. I live in a multi-generational household, with 5 people ranging from 92 to 18. So we have the full meal deal. We looked into buying things piecemeal but the difference was only about $30 a month and we’d lose the convenience of a centralized experience among many devices which is was easy for everyone to use. Having different services that require changing inputs, apps, logins, devices, etc can be very confusing to people who are not tech savvy. Just my experiences which have worked for our household.
Yes my wife is not tech savvy but I put some of the streaming services on her iPad where she (and I mostly) watch. Seldom use the Apple TV itself and our 30. Inch but I can see how that would be important in your case. For us there are just the two of us kids are all gone with families on their own now. Grandkids come and watch and I use Apple TV apps for their view pleasure since I am local IT support LOL

These are the cases for you to investigate:

elago is all TPU and thin. I like it is but it felt slightly slippery to me.

Ringke Air - same as the Fusion (which I also like), but does not have the hard back that the Fusion has. Comes in Clear and Glitter. I have the Glitter case on now. I like it so much, I doubled down and ordered 2 more before they sell out or raise the price. You can ignore the strap that comes with it. You don’t have to use it on the case if you don’t want to.

Are the buttons good on these three cases?

I have a 2015 macbook air and these new releases are making me want to upgrade. My current one battery life is AWFUL!! Enjoy your new MBP!
Thank you! I’ll let You know my take on battery life soon.

I’m excited for a new laptop after almost 8 years. I may have to upgrade if the rumored 14 inch MBP is released. I was reluctant on opening this one for fear they release the 14 but hey, they may not or may not for some time. This MBP is more than enough, I’m sure. I just wanted a bigger screen that isn’t a 16 inch.

I’ll report back soon enough. Let us know if you pull the trigger!

I know I said I would go out and buy a MagSafe charger in store ... I got lazy. 😅

So yay! A new delivery is coming! Hopefully I won't be waiting for the end of the day to get it. If you'd like to follow with me from it's travel from Rialto all the way to my place (hint: it's a little bit closer from some China delivery I got last week), let me know! I'll start a thread on my MagSafe charger follow! 🤣

Your charger and my silicone case were warehouse buddies in Rialto. :) My case left Rialto yesterday and is out for delivery today.

It's a re-run of last week! lol. Mine had its label created last night, so it's not moving until tomorrow. It's funny cause I can be in Rialto in an hour and not wait the 24 (or dare I say, 34 hours) for delivery.

Hang in there! Mine was supposed to be delivered yesterday and didn't depart Korean until yesterday. Once it gets out of Korea, I find the next moves are pretty fast. Mine is currently (FINALLY) out for delivery!
Well it made it through Korea pretty fast, left a couple of hours ago! So fingers crossed I may see it tomorrow! I have to work Friday, so I would love to have it before then ??

How was the Peel case? I the Super Thin clear hard case yesterday and waiting for it to ship which probably won’t be until the end of the month.

The one I got (jet white) looked cheap and was uncomfortable to hold for extended periods. The clear (soft) buttons were too stiff. Be sure to post what you think of the hard clear case. I still haven’t found a clear one I like.

Honestly, I haven’t found that any screen protectors is completely fingerprint proof. I can say that I use Peel brand screen protectors exclusively, and with a quick swipe of a micro fiber cloth, removes the fingerprints easily. I even use the extra cloths that I have to clean my glasses. Have you tried a cloth (maybe slightly damp) with your current screen protector? This method may save you from putting out extra cash to find the perfect screen protector. ?

I use ESR and haven’t tried Spigen. To be honest I think all glass tempered screen protectors attract fingerprints. I use the same microfiber cloth I use to clean my glasses to clean my screen. I also try to make sure my hands are dry when using my phone and wait for a few minutes after using lotion or other oils before touching the screen. It seem to work sometimes. Right now I have a cheap screen protector that came with one of the cases I ordered (it have the notch cut out and I’m waiting for it to crack before installing my ESR protector.

I order a new iPhone for my mom on Nov. 9, and it says Arrives December 1 to Dec. 8, and I been checking my the order status and it says We have everything necessary to complete your order. We’ll update your delivery date when your order is preparing to ship. If they have everything to complete the order why don't ship instead of waiting, since my moms iPhone 6s the battery needs to be replaced, i have no long her 6s is going to hold out. I hope it ships soon if its coming from overseas
