Carrier Apple.com New 2018 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

Anyone having the issue where the CC is showing unavailable? I can see it in the search, but it is dimmed out and showing unavailable to select.

It could but there are other phones ahead of you with 9/21 dates that are still waiting and still just now popping up into UPS

I got Space Grey and kind of wish I had chosen Gold. But knowing me, I’d probably have wished I had chosen Space Grey if I had picked Gold.

The way Marques Brownlee slowwwllllllyyyyy took off that protective plastic I thought he was going to turn it into an AMSR video.

The only thing he said in his video that stood out to me was his assertion that Apple can 'afford' to put a headphone jack adapter in the box.

Nothing in that box is free. All of it is figured into the final retail price. Everything. The cables. The power adapter. The headphones. The Apple sticker. The box. All of it you paid for at purchase.

how strict are Apple stores with the scheduled pickup time? Is that really the only window you can pick it up, or can you pick it up earlier at all? like if my window is 7-7:30pm, can I show up at 5pm and expect to get it?

Usually, it's not a problem. However, if there are dozens of others with a 5 PM pickup time ahead of you, then they may make you wait (but probably not). However, if you tell anyone in line that you are way too early, then you risk a lot of backlash from the folks in the line.
 
By the way everyone should check out Gruber's review over at Daring Fireball. He goes in depth about the huge improvements to the camera. That's usually the first thing I play with once I get my hands on one. Shoot whatever flowers are still left around.

Mine isn't even showing up. Waiting to see if it shows up when the phone makes it state side.
 
I have 2 XS's coming from Apple via UPS and 1 XS coming from Verizon via FedEx. I wonder who gets here first on launch day. The UPS delivery has my phone and the FedEx delivery has my sisters.

A friend of mine bought a 256 Sim Free Gold XS Max, and I bought a 512 Sim Free Space Gray XS Max, and he wants to trade straight up Friday and pay the difference....im seriously considering taking the deal after seeing MKBHD's Gold unboxing video. Its BEAUTIFUL. But I did buy a Space Gray Series 4 44mm, so me being a Space Gray shill, I don't know if I will. And I really have no need for 512 GB. Im only using about 80 of my 256 on my X....ugh. Decisions decisions.

The UPS tracking info should give the shipping weight. 0.7 kg is the Apple Watch and 0.5 kg is the iPhone.

Yes, I still have Friday Sep. 21st delivery. Going to change it to local UPS CC as my UPS doesn’t deliver until late afternoon/evening.
 
For all of us who has their phones stuck at ZhengZhou, China, your phone has actually been arrested there and held without bail at the Maximum Security Prison of ZZ. There is no hope of escape. Word has it that there was some trump-ed up charge.
