Hi i am from Germany . Mine ist still in "Prepared" state and No UPS information yet.
Thats very disappointing when you see US customer already have tracking results

My phone has the 2:10 A.M. arrival scan in ZhengZhou, but it doesn't show that it was part of any departures from there. My watch is in Shanghai. I'm jealous of their lives.
My iPhone and watch are just like yours. Both say “tentative date”. Why. I ordered both in first minute or two. They still say 9/21 delivery. Remaining optimistic

According to UPS, I'm still sitting in ZhengZhou (2:10 crowd). However, I'm not surprised.

Rest assured, fellow excited nerds, that anyone given the 9/21 delivery date after checkout will get it on that day. Before our phones even get through US Customs and get split up to respective shipments to nearby airports, they go through a single scan that accounts for thousands of individual packages. Each package is linked to that scan, but not every single tracking number may be updated until going through customs. For those of us still saying we're in ZZ, they very likely already went through Anchorage but won't see a scan until we're in Louisville and filtered through appropriately.

I assure you I've single-handedly seen this before over the years. I can't wait for Friday!

So is customs technically in Alaska or Louisville?

IIRC, the actual Customs check is in Louisville. Anchorage is just a stopping point and/or swap planes point. I'm no aviation expert, but flying from China direct to Louisville from a logistics standpoint would be inefficient and more risky, especially when they're trying to be efficient and cycle planes in the regions when there's a huge demand for their service.

Status update for 256gb gold MAX.

Touchdown in Anchorage!

Looks like flight 5X2997 leaving at 11:23 PM Alaska Time (aka a little over 90 minutes from now) bound to Louisville might be our next flight. If the current flight will land in about 36 minutes, that leaves 54 minutes of turnaround time - last year the turnaround was about an hour for ANC IIRC.

FlightAware says it'll leave in 2 hours (90 mins was from flightradar) https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS2997
I think it will continue on CKS859. Scheduled to depart for Louisville at 11:25 pm

And cargo flights are filled to the brim and have a shorter range. A passenger aircraft could likely do Zhouzhou to Louisville, but unlikely for cargo. Every last inch is utilized.

but this flight is expected to depart in 55 minutes.. how so?

I think they're preemptively scanning the tracking. 11:15 PM Alaska time on the tracking is 10 minutes before that Kalitta Air flight is supposed to depart.

It would be a pretty big coincidence if this Kalitta Air 859 didn't actually have our phones. The tracking info seems to match up pretty closely. CGO->ANC->SDF

Any phones that went to Hong Kong actually leave Hong Kong yet? Mine is just sitting there. Of course an update tracking could say it left Hong Kong hours ago and it is now landed in Louisville, so who knows at this rate.

This is so exciting! First it's landed in Anchorage and now it's already left again! :D

Of course once it lands in Louisville we'll all be bored for awhile waiting for the other phones to catch up, but I still love this!
