Carrier Apple.com New 2018 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

Did anyone do in store pickup? I have a 10AM pickup window. Do I have to stand in line or is there a separate line for pre orders? First time doing in store pickup, always sat waiting for UPS on launch day for prior phones.

I’m picking up for the first time too. Have always waited for UPS and picked up at CC in past. I believe there is a separate preorder line so I’d get there a little before the pick up time and check in with an associate.

Mine just switched to unknown.

But several folks have heard from UPS that it’s a computer thing, so not going to worry (too much).

More worried about my watch that went to Houston instead of DFW

At this point if your phone is not physically on a flight to Louisville there is no way to be getting it tomorrow. All UPS planes leaving Alaska for Louisville have already departed and it has to be there before around 3 so that the flights can make it to your local areas.

right, but scanning glitches mean we don't reliably know what left AK. Mine has been there since noon (whatever time zone that is), so I have to believe it made a plane to KY.

Not failed...I'm just unimpressed with their tracking information this year. I *might* end up being unimpressed with their delivery, but I'll reserve that for tomorrow

Imagine the logistics involved with moving millions of phones and watches from multiple locations in China to their destinations across the globe in 168 hours... hiccoughs and oddities are bound to happen - they do every year... but in the end, they get the job done... my hat's off to BROWN. Good job!

Just got a departure scan in Anchorage at 3:26pm. Arrival was 12:19pm. No delivery date listed but i'm not concerned, seems to be a glitch based on how many people are impacted. Also, UPS Worldwide Express Saver is guaranteed - UPS doesn't want to lose all that money!

I got an email from UPS saying my package is scheduled for delivery tomorrow at my apartment even though I put in a request to have it picked it up at a CC. Should I expect to be able to pick it up tomorrow or no?

Just checked and I have a departure scan now from Alaska at 3:26 PM I also called UPS and they said it’s a glitch in their system it should be delivered tomorrow

But just updated.

Was previously a 12:19 AK arrival.
Now is a 3:26 Departure.

I'm in the same boat as you, 12:19 arrival and just updated to 3:26 Departure. I'm in buffalo and my delivery day says 9/24. I believe however if its on its way to Louisville right now I should have it tomorrow.
