If you’re located in the US, also note that there is usually a cache of phones already waiting in Louisville that won’t get labels until Weds or even Thursday. Mine usually ship from China, but one year I went nuts worrying, and the phone scanned last minute directly from inside the US. So the type of phone, carrier, and time of order can all impact where the phone they assign you is sitting when tracking starts.

Yes I have seen both, china and another location. Mine was in Texas or somewhere in warehouse so it had to be shipped to Louisville during the week before opening sorta crazy. Mine still preparing to ship ordered 2:02 AM CDT (space gray 256 GB Xs) Logistics of UPS (and Fedex) are always interesting to watch with packages.
Darn, I just did it and pulled something traveling from chengdu China to British Columbia for delivery on 9/18. Not sure if there is any significance to this.
No phone yet for me on ups choice minus 2 digits in order number and phone number
Haven’t gotten my tracking number yet either, but it’s still really early lol. We will all get them in waves I’m sure!

Derek, what time did you get your order confirmation email? I’m still waiting for mine to show up in UPS
I could not find my order using Track by Reference in UPS (removing the last 2 digits on my order or my phone number). Mine still says Preparing to Ship. Still states delivery by 9/21.
For the first time in years, I chose to do store pick. I am traveling next week for work and won't be home until Saturday, so I am picking it up at a store in the city I am traveling to. With that said, I miss this frenzy...

Hi. My email was 3:06 Eastern. Track by reference using the Apple order number minus the last 2 digits. Not showing up on my choice yet however.
