What about performance?

It absolutely does support it, you're just focusing on the last Intel generation which was indeed seriously flawed because of super hot Intel chips.Sure - you can have both. But Apple’s track record with Macs doesn’t support that reality.

I guess I do realise that any port must be connected to the motherboard, and this motherboard must have the bandwidth available for them, yes.Having an HDMI port does not mean taking away a Thunderbolt port. You realize there’s enough room on the machine for many many more ports, right?
Making laptops thinner doesn't necessarily mean they'll be lighter.Lol, not really. 14" and 16" are heavy, no way around it.
The 2019 intel 15 was actually 1,85 kg, the succesor late 2019 intel 16 was 2.0 kg.The problem is not thickness but weight (the last 15'' Intel MBP was 1.6kg, which was increased to 2.1kg in 2021). Also, the notch is a problem... please remove the notch, no matter what.
Another reason why the watch is not for me: needing to check (& reply to) text messages on a watch. Ridiculous. But that's just my opinion. The reason they are square instead of round is because round design cuts off things like reading and scrolling through text bubbles and such.
I dunno… I’ve never used a case on any of my iPhones dating back to the 3GS. And I’ve never broken a screen or suffered any major damage. But that’s just me. I get that if you drop a thing made of glass and soft aluminum it may not fare well but I’ve never had that problem I guess.Gurman again, I'll believe it when I see it then. I really want that new iPad Pro though lol. But need a new Mac first.
let's hope they drop the HDMI port on MacBook Pro. HDMI is anything but pro.
if you're ready to concede a thunderbolt 4 port for an useless HDMI one, this shouldn't be a product made for you.
what a moot point. if anyone need a RJ45 port, this device is not pro then."Pro" means able to get work done using what is available, not endlessly needing help from adaptors or the other guy needs to do it different. Not everyone can have a purse full of adaptors that they will use twice a year, and are full of dust when you need them.
100% agree. I can't see why people are upset by HDMI ports or SD card ports. People use those ports and don't want dongle hell."Pro" means able to get work done using what is available, not endlessly needing help from adaptors or the other guy needs to do it different.
