Apple Discontinues FineWoven Cases, Offers Silicone and Plastic for iPhone 16 Models

I know why, I don't pretend to understand, Apple doesn't bring or make the leather cases anymore but frankly I do not give a F**K! The Apple leather cases were the chefs kiss, a premium looking and feeling case for a premium product. I don't know if by ceasing production of their leather products, if it affected their bottom line, but in my opinion it's another company's gain.
Not only that but they show themselves in the foot with the whole environmentalism thing.
This can't be emphasized enough. 👍 All the kvetching the world does no good if at the end of the day people pay for the thing they are complaining about. Think what else Apple would do if customers voted with their wallets.
Did you use the last ones they released? The ones that were thinner to make MagSafe work better? There was nothing premium feeling about those.
Why does it have to be "vegan"? Just make a high quality leather case like they used to up to the X.
I bought a clear case mate case for my 15 pro max on woot for $5 and it’s the best case I have ever had. Shows off the blue color of the phone, protects well, and is a lot more grippy than the hard plastic of the apple clear case. I bought an apple silicone case with the phone, but I much prefer the casemate case.
I don’t think that cows are killed only for their skin (except for Rolls Royce). That means leather is a bi product and environment friendly. Apple has got it all wrong. They think that recycled plastic is the best way to save the world. That too by selling a plastic case for the price of exclusive leather. Yes, I do use a Apple silicone case on my phone but I never paid full price for it. Still it’s many times more expensive than an equivalent case from Temu.
While that might be what you and a lot of others want, if you’re being realistic Apple has made it’s environmental goals part of it’s PR marketing pitch so everyone knows cow hide leather cases are never coming back.
Vegan leather or fabric cases (like the Pixel ones) would the next best possible options from Apple directly, not crappy silicone and clear plastic like what we have now.

You can’t even buy them anymore, anywhere, any official apple retailer legit discontinued them from all their sites and third party retail, not even a last minute sales event at all.
Because they think saving cows and the methane they produce is better than using fossil fuels for plastic.
Truly perplexing move, especially considering there's no leather option for the new capture button.
