The funny thing is the app although hadn't been updated in 5 years was still getting new trailers.

There's a whole bunch of other oddball apps you probably didn't know Apple made. They even made a Texas Hold Em game (it isn't very good lmao)

I swear the Texas Hold ‘Em game has a cameo from Phil Schiller or something in it

I'll give them props for doing live action FMVs for all the players but as a Texas Hold Em game it's still forgettable. But hey Poker Night at the Inventory and it's sequel kinda set the bar for Texas Hold Em games pretty high.

For those who don't know Poker Night at the Inventory and Poker Night 2 was two games by old Telltale where you played poker against fictional characters. The first game you played against Max from Sam & Max, Strongbad from Homestar Runner, the Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and Tycho from Penny Arcade. The more popular sequel had an even better cast consisting of Brock Samson from Adult Swim's The Venture Bros (voiced by the legend Patrick Warburton,) Claptrap from Borderlands, Ash from the Evil Dead series (sadly no Bruce Campbell did not voice him for this) Sam from Sam & Max, and the dealer was GlaDOS from Portal. What made the game special was the characters you played against would have conversations between each other as you played

Sad for this. I don’t like the discoverability of upcoming movies in the TV app. It’s more like what they want you to see :(

The TV app sucks and is just getting more bloated. iTunes all over.

At least they aren’t getting rid of the iTunes Store app. Yet. The TV app desperately needs to fix is the lack of information density. On the store tab I can literally see 3 movies without scrolling. One giant poster takes up 90% of the screen. I can see 3x that in the iTunes Store app.

That's by design. The Apple TV app has a more modern interface. iTunes hasn't been updated in years.

Yeah, it’s a bad design. I don’t consider being able to see one or two movies per screen to be “modern”. In fact, with devices that have screens which are larger than ever, having a design that shows less content per page feels regressive and antiquated, not modern.

You can also see trailers on YouTube. I remember when this app was where I went for trailers. Wow that was a long time ago

Where are they? Can’t seem to find them
Go to the Store Tab and scroll down towards the bottom - nicely hidden Thanx

And this http://www.apple.com/trailers/index.html now directs too tv.apple.com but none of the Trailers actually seem to be live as you click the arrow and nothing happens - correction they don't work in Safar - Brilliant and the whole layout has undergone a re-design.

Only seems to be in the US as pretty easy to find when I switch to that account, nothing at all for the UK.

However if you Google Apple Movie Trailers on iPhone the link will open to the Trailers section via the ATV app.
Not much use mind if you’d rather use the ATV4K.

DICKS

Anyway I didn't even know this app existed and I've been an avid Apple user most of my life

Movie trailers ALWAYS spoil the movie. They are just a marketing decision and those marketing people do not care if they destroy the movie for you. They just want to make sure that you watch the movie.
I definitely disagree with always part since a well-made trailer doesn't always do that. Sometimes a movie is such an unknown I need to get a little glimpse of what the thing offers. But I agree overall that a trailer can be a spoiler if you aren't careful. I judge it on a movie by movie basis.
