I haven't kept up with the latest drama, why are the 15s a disaster?
I'm probably being subjective, but: bending, fingerprint/discoloration, heat issues. And now I'm being 100% subjective — I looked at it at the store and it didn't feel premium at all, comparing to previous models. It's a bit lighter and it gave me a "plastic" feel rather than premium TITANIUM that they keep waving around.

Yeah whatever darker coatings Apple is using now get pretty fingerprinty...the Midnight MacBook Air is like that too. Im getting a white 15 Pro which doesn't have that problem, but my phones go in a case so even the dark blue/grey would be a non-issue to me.

Yes, I use cases as well, but it's just very disappointing to me that the flagship phone has so many issues. I had a feeling (for a while now) that this year's model will be very raw and it seems I was right. I think the 16 Pros will be amazing though :)

Leo Laporte showed a picture using the 100x zoom used to take a picture of strangers on the other side of a cliff or bluff. It was like you were standing in front of them. Its pretty amazing.

Apple probably could do it, but lets face it, they are drip dropping these days and will likely save that for iPhone 19 Pro Max.
Undoutably so, and I'm fine with that... by that time the battery capacity of the 15 will be done for. If these phones had batteries one could replace with just some screwdriver tips and without heat plates and new seals and massive suction, then I'd be more concerned at possibly wanting to buy a new phone every 4-5 years. To whit, it does bug me a bit my perfectly good XS Max has an 82% battery capacity and is still perfectly functional... but that slow lighting USB2 offload of video files to the PC for editing has got to go.
