Keep in mind for many people who do not need all the extra features, the iPad versions of many of these apps provide a much simpler and more user friendly experience.
Call it whatever you want, but I like my iPad, I use it as my only computer, and it handles all my personal stuff as well as I run my music production company from my iPad Pro. It does everything I need it to, and it is much simpler than using a PC or Mac, much more portable, and much more secure.
For those who need more complicated software, then use a Mac or PC. But don't act like that is the majority of people in the world. Apple's advertising the iPad Pro as a desktop replacement was focused towards the general public, not corporations or professionals. It was meant to be a substitute to the family computer in the home, not a substitute for a work computer in an office or professional environment. Yes, I'm sure it can fulfill the needs of many jobs out there, since it does for me, but that is not what Apple advertised it as. If you watch their iPad Pro ads, they show teenagers or other regular folks doing normal personal computer stuff like email, web browsing, picture editing, etc. They don't show folks doing excel spreadsheets, programming apps, web development, or IT-related work. Sure, I know that since this is a computer-related forum, most folks who post here are indeed programmers, web developers, or IT professions, but don't assume that the majority of people out there work at those types of professions. You are the very tiny minority of people.
