Apple has really lost there touch. Saw where they weren’t gonna give use any new features in iOS 12 because they want to fix bugs. That BS. I gave a $1000 for a phone to a company that can’t even make a stable software. They have been doing iOS for 10 years now you would think they would be able make a software that’s doesn’t have so many damn bugs. And still be able to give use features. Kinda wish I would’ve bought an lg to be honest.

o_O iOS 12 isn’t even out yet..

Nobody knows what it’s coming with..

You moan about updates yet you would get an LG?

How many bugs you found so far that you can share?
LG is worse because of bootloop issues.

You can always sell the X and buy an LG to be honest

You paid $1000 for a phone with existing software, all of which was well documented and known
Being outraged over lack of future enhancements to what you bought is a little disingenuous
I didn’t know iOS 11 was a piece of sh** before I bought this phone.
iOS 10 was honestly prety good.

Sure you can customise but if that’s what matters to you why get an Apple device in the first place?

What features does iOS 12 really need? Performance should matter more

I think you’re over exaggerating. Was iOS 11 perfect? No. But I challenge you to find a better operating system over iOS in terms of stability, security and continual updates throughout the year. Why don’t you give iOS 12 the opportunity to see what it offers before you decide to abandon your iPhone X in place of an LG phone. WWDC 2018 will be here in a little over 2 1/2 months.

I think Apple screwed up on iOS by letting its engineers get complacent and lackadaisical about the software they publish. Now, after hearing all the criticism, Apple decides to take a stick and focus on improving their engineers' skills and motivations, in order to push out a more polished software version with iOS 12. So, why would you condemn Apple for doing that - it should not be damned if you, damned if you don't.

Bugs and issues started happening when they handed iOS over to Ive.

The OP answered that question why they’re upset because amount of money they spent on the iPhone X given the lethargic and nonchalant experience with iOS 11. They’re saying that for a $1000 iPhone, they can’t even make stable software terms of enjoying the iPhone for what it is. Others (And I), stated abandoning the iPhone X just out of frustration is not the answer. Suggesting to wait to see what WWDC 2018/iOS 12 has offer would be the more logical choice. I would not just abandon iOS/the iPhone in terms of android out of haste unless someone specifically knew that’s what they wanted.

And I completely agree that performance should definitely matter. But when you give $1000 for a phone you should get features and performance.

Idk man I just know iOS 11 has been a disaster for me and a lot of others. I’d much rather have 10. My phone force closes all the time. Hell Facebook has been making me log in after about 5-10 mins every time. And for security any other phone would be better at security for me as I don’t use Face ID. Since i don’t like it.

Guess this is your weekly complaint thread. If I hated Apple like you, I would not be here.

I generally am pretty pretty happy when an iOS release doesn't have 50 new features I need to learn about, being that I'm a light user.

You could give me iOS 12 with literally nothing except freshen up the looks a bit and give me a dark mode with no other features and I'd be happy as a clam - maximum visual changes/appeal with minimal learning curve.

Why do you use something you apparently hate?
It’s not that I hate it. I hate the software. I didn’t know iOS 11 was a pos before I got this phone. I had an iPhone 7 for awhile that was on iOS 10 which was great. This one not so much.

When did I complain every week about it?? I just saw where it said they were gonna put features on hold til iOS 13.

Ha Apple give a true dark mode. Better chance of the world ending.

Well now you know that 11 is a pos, you can move on to something you like better.

I have no issues with iOS 11. Haven't had any with any iOS own my iPhones. Pretty sure millions of others don't either. I am not calling "issues" a feature that didn't make the release because it wasn't ready. No software at any stage is going to appease everyone. To say it is a POS is way off base. Or, you are having a boring day and want to generate discussion--;)

Yeah right after you give me $1000 back I’ll get right on that. Or you know if you can talk your beloved Apple for it back.

Just cause you don’t have issues doesn’t mean some of us others don’t. I guess your phone doesn’t force close all the time.

Not saying you don't. Most don't. So, saying it is not a POS. I have never had any FC's

I wouldn’t say iOS 12 will have no new features. It certainly will. Just because the focus is going to be on optimization doesn’t mean it’s just going to be iOS 11.8.
