Umm... "their touch" not "there touch"

You can always sell the X and buy an LG to be honest

You paid $1000 for a phone with existing software, all of which was well documented and known
Being outraged over lack of future enhancements to what you bought is a little disingenuous

Some people just like to complain.

You won’t even admit when a manufacturer that you love does something wrong. Apple could come out with a brick with an Apple symbol and idiots would buy it. I’m just not biased I’ll say when a manufacturer has flaws. And what the flaws are.

This is always the default fall back position, isn't it?
Anyone who is happy with a product is blind, an idiot, mindless, a lemming
And anyone who is unhappy is unbiased, better informed, honest, smart and savvy

That's just total ********

I’m not saying you can be happy. But don’t bust other people’s balls for having issues and saying something about them. I think it’s ******** that every time someone says they don’t like something about an Apple product or they’re having issues people on here will say. Always bitching about something. This is a forum your allowed to state your opinion. I’m not saying I don’t like the iPhone. I’m just saying Face ID has flaws and iOS 11 is ****.

You dropped $1K on a phone with which you are unhappy. Whose fault was that? And now you are lambasting the next version of their software, which has not even begun the beta process... but I am sure your concerns and objections to how they are doing the unseen are well-founded and spot on.

Apple has warts and flaws. So does everyone and everything in this life. What's your point?

Finally, since you've chosen to single me out for this response, please show me (by quoting the relevant portions of any of my posts) where I have ever said that Apple was perfect or that they've never done anything with which I disagree.

Funny that you seem to be all too eager to bust the balls of those who say that they are not experiencing all of the same issues that you have.

For the record, you ARE bitching about spending $1,000 on a phone with which you are not happy. You should have returned it when that was an option. You still have options - sell it or live with it... BTW, I don't have FaceID because I did not upgrade this cycle - I'm quite happy with TouchID and my iPhone 7+...

Ok then you have a iPhone 7+ there for your irrelevant. I said I had an iPhone 7 that was great. I just quoted the last message wasn’t meaning it just towards you. Also you don’t know if software is gonna be **** in only 14 days.

We all know that iOS 11 is worst piece of software they’ve released.
You are not alone.

Above that, the engineers expect people who contact support to work free for them. Spend a lot of time sending reports etc etc. because they have such problem with this ****** iOS 11.

No, I’m not bitter ;) just disappointed of the behavior of Apple these days.
But despite that, I still love Apple, and my devices, But I have the right to get really pissed.
They are probably just busy spending all their money o_O

Well, well, while I wait for Apple to fix things I find solutions elsewhere.
It’s interesting to look outside the Apple world, too.

I will most probably continuing with Apple-stuff. I don’t hate them.
I’m just changing my relationship with them :)

I haven't been a fan of any version of iOS since iOS 6.

But I think it's going a little too far to call iOS 11 the worst. So far, Apple hasn't had to retract an update like they had to with iOS 8. So far Apple hasn't had complaints that the initial version of iOS 11 was unusable like with iOS 9. So far Apple hasn't had to rush an update out because it killed cellular like with iOS 10.

There are bugs, but to call iOS 11 the worst? A little too far I think.

People get so wrapped up in their hyperbole about their immediate problems they put on rose colored glasses so the past won't contradict what they feel right now.

Well, things happened in the past that aren't happening now. It's better, despite what some may feel.

Maybe Apple has a surprise up their sleeve and they don’t want to drop any hints. I would hate to think that iOS 12 is just a polishing of iOS 11

Agreed. We have no idea what iOS 12 will offer and it could be an entirely different experience that will change certain features that were problematic before. I personally would wait the two months to see what it will look like during WWDC 2018.

No, it’s a difference of opinion people on this site are incapable of accepting. That swings both ways.

See in my experience it’s been worst, I never had the bugs before that I’ve had in iOS 11, so for me and people like me, it IS the worst version so far and not better then any other.
Your conclusion is based on a blanket statement that really doesn’t fit. So I personally applaud Apple if they don’t bring any new features with iOS 12 and instead fix all the bugs.

even if huge improvements in siri in IOS 12 I will be happy with that...certainly as a homepod user

I refuse to blame Apple for an iOS that works well for me. I have to agree with others, “some” just like to complain to gain attention.

What ios does it does well. Problem is, it is being left behind iin terms what it can do.

It's all opinion I guess. I can see how all of these releases had their issues but not as bad as iOS 11.

I agree. iOS 8 had its issues but iOS 11 has so many issues of varying degrees I've been encountering that I do consider it the worst. Even basic features are broken:

I have no issues with iOS 11. Haven't had any with any iOS own my iPhones. Pretty sure millions of others don't either. I am not calling "issues" a feature that didn't make the release because it wasn't ready. No software at any stage is going to appease everyone. To say it is a POS is way off base. Or, you are having a boring day and want to generate discussion--;)
I agree, I was trying to think of what is going wrong with it? I have no problems.

Just cause you don’t have issues doesn’t mean some of us others don’t. I guess your phone doesn’t force close all the time.

Not once has this happened. Have you wiped your phone out and started from fresh?

For you it is.

Had @Lioness~ led with that, instead of making a blanket statement of her own, we probably wouldn't be quoting each other.

Bugs and issues started happening when they handed iOS over to Ive.

iOS was far from perfect and work in progress all the time. I don’t credit that to Ive. It surely wasn’t any better before, from my experience.

I disagree. Yes, iOS 6 had it's issues (I can recall at least one), but iOS 7 was where the whole thing about waiting to install later point upgrades became a thing.

And iOS 7 is where they handed things over to Ive.

I think their touch is better than ever with the iPhone X.

I'm taking taptic touch - the way it's used is very satisfying & hints at a focus on giving the user more of a feel when using Apple devices, albeit virtually.:D

And they also did it once or twice with macOS too.
That I haven't experienced personally. :D

Only because my PowerPC Macs can only run 10.5.8 max, 10.6.8 on my MBP (2006) and 10.10 on the Mac Pro at work.

If some are waiting on iOS 12 to fix all their problems, best of luck. I am sure it will be a problem for some just like all the previous versions. Not a single problem, in any iOS, has got in my way of what I was trying to do on my iPhone.

May not be perfect but Android is not an option for me.
