Understand the product first. Apple didn't intend to build a competitor to GPT or Gemini but rather a more personalised AI integrated into iOS itself which, depending on the context is either helpful, useless or a bit of fun. But just because something is useless to me doesn't mean it is rubbish. I never use and promptly delete the Stocks app but I'm sure others find it helpful.

Apple may never build an LLM to make Siri smarter and instead backend it to GPT et al but then they never built a search engine and nobody rides them for that.

Consider it like this: Apple Intelligence is to Gemini as Spotlight is to Google, adjacent products that serve different purposes.

I know but they announced something so they need to release it… otherwise it’s false advertising!

So try to return your iPhone 16, saying it doesn't offer the advertised features. When enough returns are denied, start a class action lawsuit. Apple will do a mea culpa and pay out $25 or so per a purchase to avoid more bad press and the case actually going to trial.

I haven’t bought iPhone 16 but I actually bought iPad Air m2 and MacBook Pro m4 after wwdc24… you think I might win this case?

Class action is all about nobody winning because it never goes to trial. You just want enough press that Apple admits fault and gives a payout to shut everyone up. But I think denied returns would be a good start to getting one going.

(Not a legal expert.)

Lol. Apple won't release anything faster because you decided to give a feedback.

Admittedly, Siri has been useless since it exits, and Apple Intelligence is just "meh", so...
I know if I am the only one then no but I need help from everyone in macRUMORS to support me and give a feedback too.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? If 7 billion people reported the delay via the feedback app it will make no difference.

Whether you, or I or anyone else like it or not, the software is delayed. There is nothing else to be said. Apart from yet again, Apple have dropped another clanger.

If 7 billion of people say they will switch to android… then maybe they will do something

Does anyone remember…
Or how about…
And then…

These are very early days of AI.
Almost every company has had to delay parts of their products, Apple’s just the latest.
And this isn’t even their first time with this type of thing.
Mac OS X was announced 3 1/2 years before it actually shipped.
Leopard was delayed twice.
iOS 4 on the iPad was delayed five months.
Life goes on.

Send a feedback to apple here : https://www.apple.com/feedback/ About they should release the new Siri or you switch to android (they will be scared)
You can also email Tim Cook directly, although I imagine he has a secretary who filters out abuse and nonsense for him.

Why should they release the new Siri? Blizzard previewed Starcraft: Ghost at E3 in 2005. 20 Years later my PlayStation 2 is still waiting for it. Software gets delayed or cancelled.

Yeah feedback and email from 7 bilions should make a change

You realize that no matter how much feedback is sent, if it’s not working internally, then it’s not working internally?
It’s not like sending feedback will cause it to suddenly blossom into reality out of nothing.
Send feedback about actual issues, these are not them.
