Jobs would be super proud, to see that people are paying Apple $1000 for Animojis and a device that looks similar to Samsung and other Android devices.

Wrong. That's not what consumers are paying $1000 for. They're paying $1000 to have the latest iPhone experience and technology. Not everything has to be in comparison to Samsung an android either, which has no relation to this thread. And one could simply make the argument that Samsung copies Apple, vice versa. So that's not really pertinent here. Apple is charging $1000 because they can. If somebody wants to pay that and they find the means of upgrading to the newest iPhone worth their money, there's nothing wrong with that.

The animoji is nothing more than a simple feature on the iPhone X to show off the technology with augmented reality, it's not just about the emoji themselves.

Furthermore, not every post has to have Steve Jobs brought into the conversation. Apple can have fun once in a while too, it's not about all business all the time. If you don't like the iPhone X, then don't support it.

The magic of Apple products died with Steve Jobs. Everyone just needs to admit and accept that. The company is nothing like it used to be. There’s no greatness or magic in these products any longer and there won’t be again. They are finished as far as I’m concerned.

ofcourse, Jobs would be damn proud if he saw The Notch for the very first time on the iPhone X. Its' desgin 2.0
Heck, if he would see the all new Animoji's on a $1000 device, he would be probally thinking...'yeah, I am done now, this is what Apple is all about''

If someone could do an interview with Lauren Powell & remaining family Jobs. Having there opinions of what Steve would’ve thought of today’s Apple, we might get closer to the truth. Her opinion would approximately weigh 1000% heavier then any of yours.
I am not pleased with today’s Apple either, but don’t consider it that dead...yet.

Apple was doomed last year, too.

Actually I think they are too involved with Cook & co to say  now is ****, at least today.

But they might say something between the lines.

Hope Steve’s son grow up and that he have inherited things from Steve, and can state his own opinions later. After he solved cancer, of course.
If that what he’s still doing, study to a doctor? Haven’t googled it recently.

I only came in here to post, after reading the title. You have to admit, the title is hilarious...! I can almost picture someone saying it, with a Robert De Niro type stance ;)

I've seen a lot of negative comments when someone brings up "what would Steve Jobs do" as a point, but honestly, how can that not be the litmus test going forward. Jobs made Apple. End of discussion. That should be the question that Apple executives ask with every single decision they make on product design.

Its an imperfect concept because
1.) They are not Jobs
2.) Jobs is sadly passed and therefore no one can actually know and
3.) technology changes so who knows how he would have adapted.

What really happens though, is that the innovation he directed is never going to happen again at Apple. But the best thing Apple can do is to still keep that concept when faced with design choices. For all I know Cook and the other executives might already be doing this in their own way. But something tells me that Jobs would have resisted putting an edge to edge display in a phone if that meant that getting rid of the home button was the only way to do it. Just because other companies are doing it would not be a good enough reason. But who knows. No one actually.

iPhone will have the lowest sales IMO with the 8 and 8 Plus. Phone was released yesterday and not one person inside a T-mobile store. Hard for me to go Android but I’m waiting on the Pixel to check it out before deciding

Hehe. Dubious claim, but ok

Dubious claim you think?

There are doctors who save lives every day, they make no where near as much as Apple does. They save a life and move on to the next person whose life needs saving. Apple makes a piece of garbage and makes billions from it because all the blind isheep have to have it.

But does that make Apple do what it does better than what a surgeon does?

Surgeons peform delicate life saving complex surgery. Apple can't even work around the notch.

I am not a surgeon, but I will repeat what I said so we're clear. I do what I do better than what Apple does. And no, dollars do not come into it.

Every single year there is a couple of posts with the following:

"Why I am returning my Iphone X"
"Apple has lost it"
"Apple is dead to me"
"Why I chose to iphone 8 plus instead"
"Why I'm moving to Android"
"So long Apple".

....Yawn.

Your Post is complete None sense.
We are talking about gadgets here. You do what you do better than Apple ? Bring out a new and better iPhone version then
Anything else is complete bs and not related to the thread.

The technology and engineering capabilities required to continually push mere 'gadgets' forward year after year is what allows for other advancements in healthcare tech, among others.

Imagine if in a couple of years, AR is so mainstream and solid that they can assist doctors in the OR. These things do not evolve in isolation. Any advancement in technology eventually spreads and benefits everyone.

True, doctors also kill people every day.

Apple makes a piece of garbage and makes billions from it because all the blind isheep have to have it.
We need facts, not opinions. Piece of garbage to you, seems like a chance at education for millions. Seems like the ability to call that surgeon in case of emergency. Seems like the only way millions of people can overcome oppression, hunger and easy access to a world bigger than themselves.

Surgeons peform[sic] delicate life saving complex surgery. Apple can't even work around the notch.
The notch disappears in your peripheral vision when the iPhone gets turned sideways to view a movie. Surgeons save lives through facetime applications through remote medicine, thanks to Apple ( and the fine surgeons ). Surgeons can look up complicated medicine interactions at a highway accident using their iPhone, possibly saving another life.

I am not a surgeon, but I will repeat what I said so we're clear. I do what I do better than what Apple does. And no, dollars do not come into it.
I hope you are sharing your 'better' with the world to make it a better place. Just like apple does.
