I guess this finally means when web designers use Apple Maps links on websites that they won't redirect to Google Maps on non Apple devices anymore? If this is the case then Apple really needs to up their game on Apple Maps business profiles, to let business owners claim their business and add info and business hours and such.

I must say, impressive. After all that time finally, hopefully EU has nothing about it :D

Works like beta - even on MBP M3 Max in Safari it's not snappy, but for past few years Apple Maps had better details and satellite photos than Google Maps here in Poland, where Google Maps is a joke (I used to be a local guide to them, now supporting OSM who at least responds and fix the obvious things).

Only con is still using Yelp probably no one I know use even abroad. But honestly even Google Maps have many paid reviews and Google don't care for reliability of stars reviews.

I would gladly help to make Apple maps better, so as many others. Unfortunately there is no option to report.
I've reported and got corrections made many times. You even get a push notification when the issue is addressed. I will add, however, how we report an issue should be more obvious and the process of choosing the location of the issue on the map, along with the various options and menus needs a better UX.

Not on every listing, but there are "claim this place" links on at least some of them:

I wish Apple/Google would work together to make an API so they share reports people leave (cops ahead, wreck ahead, stuff in the road, etc) That way it doesn't matter if you use Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze. All reports show on all 3.

Wow... they should have done this so long ago! I wonder why they don't support Firefox, which is THE most web standardized browser. Hopefully they can work out their standards to get it to work on FF.

Simple and basic.
The 'Guides' section is essentially useless, unless you live in one of those big 20 cities, in N. America, listed.

It is also the least used compared to Chromium based browsers so not a high priority for a beta. It will come, but at a later date.

I find Apple Maps awkward to use in my browser. There is no obvious way to delete a dropped pin, and the usual help to tap "Remove Pin" doesn't work because there is no such "Remove Pin" !!

While I love using Apple Maps here in Europe and this is a step in right direction I must sadly report that Apple needs to do something about paid roads, at least in Europe. It's a mess.
Paid roads are labeled as free roads in many locations and vice versa.

Doesn't show traffic when you open it. You have to set up a route to get traffic. Pretty useless as I know how to get home. I just want to see how bad traffic is before I leave the office.

Yes there is. I’ve used it many times and Apple are usually quick to fix issues.

Can also report directions and suggest changes
I've been reporting that some freeways were marked as regular arterial roads, but there's no option for that, and putting it as a comment in "Other" didn't make a difference.

As a business, you can claim and manage your hours at https://businessconnect.apple.com. It's already compatible with Yext now, so now you can have your business directory management software automatically manage your Apple business profiles without having to login. I'm doing this through my current vendor.

BTW, if you're a business owner/developer with a large Google Maps bill, switch over to Apple MapKit/MapKitJS, and you can basically eliminate your maps bill, since it's pretty much free: https://developer.apple.com/maps/resources/

(they'll probably reach out to you to negotiate a price if your calls are too high. I have no idea what that threshold might be, though I bet you your bill will be minuscule compared to your Google bill).
