It uses the two-fingered-drag to zoom in and out instead of the pinch. I find that a lot more usable and I hope it comes to the Mac app.
There is an API. It's called "scraping".I wish Apple/Google would work together to make an API so they share reports people leave (cops ahead, wreck ahead, stuff in the road, etc) That way it doesn't matter if you use Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze. All reports show on all 3.
No firefox support yet
Apple Maps on the "web" does not support the Firefox browser. Are you kidding me......
Doesn't work on FF on Mac
It has been live since 2018 for any websites that utilized MapKitJSI'm surprised. I always assumed that Apple Maps was always available on the web.
Yeah, but look at the Emmy noms! 😂You're telling me a nearly $3 trillion company doesn't have the resources or employee talent to make their web-based map compatible with Firefox?
I've been using DDG maps for a along time in Firefox. It's puzzling why they now restrict access on their own domain.Guys, the web version of Apple maps works fine in FF, you just have to use DDG: https://duckduckgo.com/?hps=1&q=Apple+Headquarters&atb=v387-1&iaxm=maps&bbox=-122.00960636825391,37.335307600770996,-122.00847529678515,37.33440828057666
Technically Apple Maps web has been live on the web in all browsers for at least 5 years, just inside of DDG.
Business profiles have been available for some time, and they're more prominent on this web interface.I guess this finally means when web designers use Apple Maps links on websites that they won't redirect to Google Maps on non Apple devices anymore? If this is the case then Apple really needs to up their game on Apple Maps business profiles, to let business owners claim their business and add info and business hours and such.
That's the first thing I noticed and the reason I rarely use Apple Maps is because I find zooming in and out by pinching awful. It uses the two-fingered-drag to zoom in and out instead of the pinch. I find that a lot more usable and I hope it comes to the Mac app.
Other browsers = Chrome and Edge.
Lame 👎

Yes there is. I’ve used it many times and Apple are usually quick to fix issues.
Can also report directions and suggest changes
Because the Mapple already exists in the SimpsonsWhy don't they just call them Mapple? Then you can Mapple things.
Perhaps the $3 trillion company makes careful choices about what to do, and in what order. That's probably why they are worth $3 trillion. You're telling me a nearly $3 trillion company doesn't have the resources or employee talent to make their web-based map compatible with Firefox?
Yeah, there's no Linux support either so I guess I'm out of luck?Other browsers = Chrome and Edge.
