Well no, if they have a higher quality material they can use that is better for the planet it’s actually a good move.
Please explain how this is better for the planet because I am honestly curious. The leather they are using is a byproduct of the meat industry aka, the cow was already killed for meat. If the leather isn't used from the cow, it goes into the trash.

Me too, but I'm not going to this time. It always starts to peel after a year or so.
Could not agree more! In recent years, Apple Silicon cases peel apart right about the 10-11 month point. Something happened with their quality.

I recently switched to Caudabe with my 14 Pro Max and it has been amazing.

I definitely see Apple dumping the leather. There are many other fine materials approrpiate for a case. For those who still want leather, there will be hundreds of leather aftermarket cases on the market.

1. This has nothing to do with them making the phones in India. Think!

2. Apple leather cases are crap anyways.

3. No animals are killed for the leather for these phones. That is simply propaganda. It is not financially viable to raise a calf, just for the leather. The weather is essentially a byproduct.

4. Isn’t it great that manufacturing synthetic products have no environmental impact, therefore are automatically superior to leather. /sarcasm

Pretty funny/sad to see the propaganda show up here.

Why would they stop it ?!
I would assume the same reason decisions like this are always made: ROI.

The costs of continuing to source, produce, and distribute these cases for the next model exceeds the projected return.

People tend to assume because something is popular, it's profitable, and wonder why companies would "leave money on the table"...thing is, they generally don't.

It's not "leaving" money on the table if it costs more to put that money on the table in the first place.

Do you guys remember iPhone 5c cases?

I liked these. I never had one since I didn't have the 5c but I liked that look

Not raising calves for meat is good for the environment. Moving away from leather is a step in the right direction.

If the leather isn’t used from calves than raising calves becomes less profitable.

I never had an iPhone 5c, but I always loved this design and wanted to see it expand to the other models in the line-up.

One of the reasons I've gone 95% caseless over my last 10 or so iPhones is, I've always found it irksome to pick a particular color I think is nice...only to immediately obscure that color almost entirely. The phone is designed to first be used as a self-contained unit, so that's the way I use it. The other 5% or so is when I'll grab a case for a more rugged temporary environment and/or mounting it to something like my bike.
