I don't care. It's very instructive of what Facebook was doing.

No it wasn't; the fact that ultimately the results didn't confirm your belief, doesn't make it any less valid. it just means that maybe you were wrong and need to re-evaluate how you approach such issues/topics.

How is someone doing a clear Nazi salute on national television "debunked," exactly?
Well....first you take some ativan and calm down. Then you ask...why would someone who has not any inclination towards Nazism except in your own delusions do a Nazi salute? Who are they saluting? The crowd? The sky?

Once you realize it's the least probably thing in the world and then denied by the supposed saluter (why deny something you brazenly did in public). You see videos of lots of politicians making similar motions that people understand were not nazi salutes.

Only people who think Elon is a Nazi no matter what he does, but among his many zany political beliefs is one they disagree with, think he made a Nazi salute.

The demand for Nazi salutes dramatically exceeds the supply.

I am reliably informed it went over my head and have deleted my post.

Meta hired 3rd party fact checkers to do it.

OK let me try to break this down for you:

  • The fact checkers gave their own opinion on others' posts—that's not "censorship" by any definition.
  • You claim that Meta took moderation action on those posts based on the fact checkers' opinions, which is (a) not supported by any evidence, (b) well within Meta's First Amendment rights to do anyway, and (c) not "censorship."
  • As support for the above claim, you linked a YouTube video from a guy who claims Meta was "censoring" him and sued over it, but the lawsuit was dismissed because he had no evidence to support his claim.
Got it?

Just another day in the Tech Oligarchy. It’s not our world, it’s theirs.
Steve Jobs started Apple to fight back against the tech oligarchy, not to become it.

Plan B:Build a car, Apple, and kick Tesla’s butt.

I mean, I'm not going to sit here and say that Elon Musk is a Nazi, because I don't know the man personally, but I also am able to recognize that he has made comments numerous times in the media that could cause someone to believe that he has white supremacist-leanings, or at a minimum having views where he looks down on particular portions of the populace.

Of course everyone has differing opinions on all of this, but I do find it fascinating when people jump to defend him and are unable to even take an open-minded, critical thought-based approach to questioning why they believe differently from someone else.

I guess that's just human tribalism (at its worst).

Why would they want to advertise their products alongside swastikas and other hate symbols/speech? (I'm not exaggerating here, so don't even come for me.)

Well damn, guess the entire ICC is in the wrong because one of the prosecutors is allegedly a scumbag. You know I was totally convinced the guy financing far right political parties across Europe, and wants the leader of the most racist party in the UK released from prison for no reason, and did a carbon copy of a Nazi salute not once, but twice was a bad guy, but him going to Auschwitz for a photo op has completely convinced me otherwise!
