While the original rule required using the right arm, a german court ruled in June 2024 (OLG Hamm, Az.: 4 ORs 71/23) that the salute is still punishable by law even when executed with the left arm.
I am not familiar with American law in that regard.

I know it would not cost Apple much from their vast coffers, and it would be naive to think that it would garner “most favored nation/company” in the eyes of trumpt…and who cares what what elon thinks.

Politics aside, if they deemed it appropriate to pull out before, well, things are not better now. The situation has only deteriorated significantly.
Frankly, I'd love them to stay away and let Twitter rot and wither.
That said, so long as ads see eyeballs, the ads are going to be effective in increasing sales. Apple exec would be wise to put profit first, and sincerity to their corporate social responsibility agenda second. Even if many of us would prefer it the other way.

I'd like to see Apple support all free speech platforms. It would be great if they ran ads on X, Minds, Gab and Truth Social.

Easily the best social media I have ever used since Elon took over. I do have multiple accounts (politics, games, music, etc) instead of using lists or whatever. That keeps the "For You" tab perfectly tuned to what I want to see.
I'm guessing if I mashed all the accounts into one, I might see some content more often and not really like it. Anyway, worth a shot if you want to follow accounts you like and block those you don't (I block a lot - really cleans it all up).
They really need to teach critical thinking and logic courses again. People have meme'd their brains to death.
Maybe for your encore you can tell us about the "fine people on both sides" lie that had people believing that Trump was a white supremacist until it was so thoroughly debunked that there aren't any rocks left to hide under for people who bought into it.

Trump calling Neo Nazis very fine people? That checks. They voted for him. Of course he appreciated them.
That’s the way it is. It comes down to making money and making sure your company has as few obstacles in the way of doing that as possible. Tim can say in his autobiography someday how disgusted he felt “giving in” to Trump and Musk, but felt he had to for Apple’s sake.
I don't really care if it's "just doing business." Bending the knee to something like Trump has made me lose a lot of respect for Apple recently. Now, yes, I put them on too high of a pedestal to begin with. No company is your friend or actually cares about you. But it was a nice thought that Apple was an ethical company. I no longer believe that.

You sound like a decent human being with a good moral compass. Tim Cook, however, is morally bankrupt. Therefore, no matter how many honorable and principled e-mails like yours that he receives, he will not care nor will he change his ways. All the way down to his rotten core, he prioritizes profits over people.
You seem to be using the BOLD text a lot and have some very strong sentiment surrounding this topic. Maybe if it is this triggering, an internet forum is not the best conduit for you to engage on stuff like this? It's not like you didn't know what you were going to get into when you started down the path of looking at and commenting on this article...
