Apple Pay will typically be launched in the timeframe 8-10am (local time of new AP country). Nothing today, earliest tomorrow. I'm keeping tabs on the boon. app being launched in the German store. That will happen during the night - long before the JSON file is updated.

No change with Santander and Amex

Santander has fallen behind and won't be a launch partner. I'm hoping we here more from them and Commerzbank soon after the launch. Hopefully as "coming soon" on the German Apple Pay site.

I usually have it set to UK - as I do now. I sometimes switch to DE.

Never switched to USA (or any other region), which is why I'm assuming I've never seen Apple Pay cash appear: The News app does sometimes get stuck when I switch to DE, although it should really disappear.

Do you see the Apple Pay iMessage app in Messages? It‘s been showing up on my device ever since I had the region set to US for a day for work related reasons. Tells me to open the settings app to set up.

Can we please all just agree on NOT posting anything that guy has to say? He already predicted the launch a billion times. And was wrong with his guesses. By now jumping on the train, with basically only a handfull of dates left, he must be true.

Just saw this: comdirect has also changed the wording for the SMS-Info-Service in the online banking (for the VISA card). It used to reference Google Pay, now it states "Für die Aktivierung von mobilen Bezahlsystemen erhalten Sie Ihren Aktivierungscode per SMS, wenn Sie den SMS-Info-Service aktiviert haben."

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that this was the case already when I activated it a few days ago.

It might be that they reworded it over the weekend (they were doing some work to the online banking). They have also removed the "Google Pay" category under "Konto und Karte"... Maybe some new category will reappear once AP launches.
