Mine has been saying that for days, when I go onto my iPhone and go to Apple Watch > Passbook & Apple Pay > Add Credit or Debit Card it simply tells me that my issuer does not offer support for this card.
Have you got your region set to US?
First time a double press has done anything for me

Nope, my region is set to United Kingdom.

As you can see there's no option for "Passbook and Apple Pay" underneath "iTunes and App Store" as there would be if the region was set to US.

Also, this is what happens when I double press on the Watch.

Watch double tap doesn't work and I don't see "passbook & apple pay" just "passbook" in the apple watch app...
Seems odd we have the same settings yet different behaviour..

I get the double tap on the watch, but don't have 'passbook and apple pay' in the watch app. That could be due to iOS 9 tho.

So far I can only add my U.S. Based cards, the U.K. Issued cards either return not supported or contact issuer. The region change just seems to enable the option.

Yes, because the banks haven't enabled it their end yet.

There's 2 things that will happen:
- Apple changes the JSON file to enable the U.K. Region to access Apple Pay
- the banks switch on their Apple Pay systems.

The latter was what Santander did last week, early, not realising that some geeks like us would try the region thing, then they quickly turned it off.

I certainly think we will... Fingers crossed we won't have to wait until 4PM on Tuesday (read that somewhere yesterday) but there's not too long to wait now!

If Apple were to do it at 9am their time, which is usually when iOS updates come out, then it would be 5pm our time.

This isn't an iOS update and it's a U.K. only thing. I'm expecting it at midnight, as that makes some sense. We'll see tho.

I wouldn't be surprised if the file was edited some point between tonight and tomorrow night, as the link is probably only checked once every 24 hours by the phone.

I also wouldn't be surprised if some banks started to turn it on tomorrow evening, ready for when Apple has its devices ready.

I'm sure I read somewhere that passbook checks the Json file every 24 hours so if Pay is going live on Tuesday, I would expect the file to update sometime on Monday.

Fingers crossed we get an official announcement from Apple and the banks on Monday too. Thes a part of me that's thinking it may not happen for Tuesday. Fingers crossed!

I read somewhere that they check at midnight local time, can't remember where tho, so that's why I was saying midnight.

I suspect Santander turned it on for testing, the same way as the senior guy at nationwide was a few weeks ago.
Wouldn't surprise me if the banks don't turn it on tomorrow during business hours and do some last minute go live testing before the JSON switch, otherwise support when they first wake up Tuesday morning could have a boatload of calls to deal with...
