wait i might be incredibly slow to the party, but apple pay contactless will allow you to pay for over £30? where as my regular physical card is still limited to £30?
It totally depends on the retailer and how they have their card terminals set up. Anywhere that takes contactless will take Apple Pay up to £30 just like standard contactless cards. Then there's certain places where the terminals have been updated and can accept higher value transactions above the limit since TouchID works as a way to verify the cardholder is there. Only places where I've managed to pay above the limit with Apple Pay is Apple, M&S, Nandos, Giraffe and Aldi. More and more are slowly accepting it, but 9 times out of 10 the retailer won't even be aware that they do.
