Everybody is a liar.
But most people are amateurs not professional liars.
Everybody is a liar.
According to Apple, it's a "power management" feature that helps protect the iPhone from random shutdowns and damage to its components. Not everybody, but definitely Apple are.
No they didn't. They say it's not intentional throttling (that starts magically when the new iPhone comes out), rather it's a "battery saving feature". Hahaha, yeah really Apple.
I have to agree with you

They're doing it for good, not evil.
IT's a magnet. Apple cannot control if you get metal particles stuck between the device no more than dirt on the screen and you use the pencil. Wipe them both before you pair them together and this should be a non issue. I'm sure there are some natural defects causing this, but also exercise a little common sense too. It's always hard to decipher what one person's meaning behind "I take good care" and another's is. It's a relative statement.
Do you engineer smartphones? This is really funny, sorry. As an engineer and owner of 4 generations of iPhone I cannot believe a single word in this marketing propaganda. This is what I call "Apple denial" of reality.
Yeah, let's just forget it.Also this all is heavily an offtopic, so sorry guys.
I have The same issue always treat my electronics very carefully! I noticed scratches on the sides of my iPad about 3 weeks after I purchased it and they are deep too! Also i have scratches on the pen itself. Apple says it is a cosmetic issue however its not Ive put clear tape over the scratches so it doesn’t do more damage but the pencil still scratches the tape until it’s completely ripped if that makes sense! for such an expensive product this should not happen!I have a 2018 12,9" space grey iPad Pro with an Apple pencil 2 for less than a month.
I always treat my electronics extremely carefully (always with case) but... small vertical scratches have appeared on the right side of my iPad Pro just where the magnet that holds the Apple Pencil in place is.
The scratches have also started to rub against my Apple Pencil and scratch the pencil itself.
It is really anoying to have an almost new and expensive device damage from "scratch".
I found some threads in the internet concerning this, so it seems is not an occasional problem.

Unfortunately I visited an apple store genius bar and they didn't know anything about that and did not offer me any solution (claiming the damage was probably done by me).
So...
Has anyone else experienced this?
Have we got an apple pencil 2 "scratchgate" on going???
I am not sure what you guys are doing with your devices when you claim you take care of them, but I’ve got to iPad pros each with a pencil that are going on 18 months old almost now and none of them have any of these scratches you guys claim just popped up. There must be some kind of metallic debris around on the environment that the magnets are catching and is causing it to be scratched because I don’t see any of that
How does the pencil look? Here’s mine, purchased in Nov 18. It has the same issue, I have AppleCare+ and have an appointment with Genius Bar on Monday.

Is this an issue people are seeing only on the Space Grey iPads?
I had my 2018 model from launch day until a few weeks ago when I sold it. No marks on the Pencil, no marks on the iPad.Hmmm IDK, but I sure hope not because I just accidentally ordered mine in space grey instead of the usual silver.
