I went in around 4pm they had them all day I work at a store so I knew the stock of them and which stores had some. Today there are a couple stores that have them. You can order online for store pickup and the locations and if it doesn't allow you it's because quanity is really low but I'm looking at the cpu now and see three stores in Chicago that have at least one

Ordered today here in Germany. Hope to become my pencil as a Christmas gift. But actually it's still processing As a new year gift.
So if I'm getting none in my area around my zip code (250 miles) it means they have none or I could walk in and they may still have one ?
Or does the system telling me this just imply they don't have any ?
No that could mean they have one but the system does that because if someone walked in and bought it before your order came through you would be disappointed. Give me your zip code I'll check on my cpu at work
That's the problem with querying a delivery when you are still in the delivery window - you will just be told to expect your order on or before the last day quoted.
But the Pencil orders from Apple are unusual. Apple under-promise and over-deliver, so orders usually arrive in the first day or two of the delivery window (if not before). I'm in day 5 of my 8 day window, and if it doesn't ship in the next 48hrs it will miss the window. The other odd thing is that a £79 charge appeared on my AMEX card at 5am last Friday (day 2 of my 19-26 Nov window). This is normally a sure fire sign that an Apple order will change to preparing for dispatch shortly afterwards. But not in this case. It is as if Apple UK expected stock on Friday that has not yet arrived.
@Chris31876 - can you check ZIP 23059? Website is showing no availability w/in 250 miles of my location.
Funny enough, I went on Apple chat and eventually asked why people walking into stores are getting priority over orders from 12am went it went live. She said I was mistaken and no one is. I linked to the thread where people are chiming in and posting pictures. She stayed on script and said those people are not getting them from Apple Stores.
What? This is bizarro Apple.
If anyone else wants to know I need to know the store number of your Best Buy nearest you not the phone number but the location number it makes it a lot quicker for me because I have to do a lot of searching to find that out

Im trying to find the store number on Google. Is there an easy lookup for Kildeer, IL?
If you use the store locator on bestbuy.com, it lists the store number in the results. That's store #647.
None available in that area however the warehouse for the that region has a lot so shouldn't be long before they hit the stores.
