The non-iPhones 15 version of Find My Friends combined with such terrifyingly archaic behaviors as using my ears, eyes and common sense when going to meet/find someone has yet to fail me.How is this an advantage over just ringing them and saying, 'Where are you?' as we all do at the moment?

It's a hardware limitation. Previous iPhones didn't have the U2 version of the Ultra Wideband chip needed to make this work.Why doesn’t this work on older iPhones? Typical of Apple to limit this to the newest iPhones only.
