Has anyone tested the 5770 in a '09 Pro with a triple screen setup yet?
Newer games require more CPU power, not just better graphics. I don't have crysis on my Mac, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was CPU-bound at my screen resolution.
I strongly believe new 5000 cards works in ALL mac pros.
there are just a sh*tlo*ad of confusion coming from people like barefeats and OWC having their head up their arses and not doing proper tests.
dude, wtf. are you barefeats or what? stop talking crap or get a new nick, before people start taking your advices.
I can confirm that the CrossFire connector is exposed on the 5770. So I plan to get a second one to confirm that you can "CrossFire" two 5770s in Windows (Boot Camp).
Thanks again Rob-ART, first post updated with this info.
Does the 5870 have a CrossFire connector too?

How would two 5770 cards in Crossfire Mode do in the MP 2008 under bootcamp compared to one 5870 card in bootcamp ???
That would be interesting, since the two 5770´s cost roughly the same as on 5870 ?? - Would they beat the "one card setup" ??

Great work barefeats! Please keep us updated on the MDP issue. I want to use a 27" ACD on my upcoming 5770 (now have 8800GT on 2008 MP) without using a converter (which doesn't support the full high res 27").
So has anyone got a 5870 to work in a mp 1,1 *.B08 yet??

I just got off the phone with Mac Connection, and it looks like the 5870 will be available by Friday (in 4 days).
I'm crossing fingers and toes...![]()

Is that the online store, Mac Connection, or some department inside Apple called Mac Connection?
