Where I use my phone is irrelevant.
Actually, it isn't irrelevant, it really isn't. The world is a big place and there are many versions of both the hardware, and most importantly the software around the world.

And then there is the habit element, the kind of programs people utilise locally to interact with each other, and also how you interact with businesses and government services.

Android is a terrible operating system and half naked phones but as I said I’m glad it works for you.

I’d rather swallow glass than own another android as my daily driver.

Actually it is irrelevant. I use my phone in Seoul and Tokyo. Also in Sydney and Cancun.

My opinion is largely the same. Please don’t assume I’ve never traveled that world outside of America.

Tech is my hobby and at one time my job so I’m quite knowledgeable about tech since webos was a thing and the early days of android to present.

As in I was well aware of honor and one plus long before they became relevant in other countries.

Travel and roaming isn’t the same as living. 🤷‍♂️ You just highlighted neatly my point.

Perhaps when it’s your “hobby” it would be an idea to be a bit more open regarding different experiences. One truly enriches themselves when you go outside of knowing what you know. 👍

I studied abroad in Tokyo for 2 years and my legal internship was in the uk last year. I’m very much world traveled and world lived. Again where I’ve used technology is literally irrelevant and a weak attempt to try and discredit my posts.

Any other points you have Or are we clear you don’t actually have a point.
It’s been a hobby. It has been my career. I also at one point literally wrote about the various tech.

So no friend. It’s not just a hobby.

Thanks.

Any other comments?

It's okay to dislike Android as it's your preference. I prefer Android over iOS for my phones. However, I disagree that foldables are a gimmick regardless of the operating system. We will have to agree to disagree until Apple comes out with their own foldables iPad, iPhone, or both.

I’ll buy an apple foldable simply because I’m team apple but unless anything changes between now and then it’ll still be a gimmick.

When galaxy foldables and android foldables in general start outselling slabs then we can talk.

Ah yes, let's create an almost impossible metric that no one can meet in the foreseeable future. Here's a hint: these foldables start at $1800 in the US and are even more expensive in the global markets. I can only imagine how much Apple would charge for their foldable iPhones compared to their slab iPhones. I'm going to stop this discussion; we can go back in time once Apple releases its foldable phones.

You do realize there are entry level foldables. I can get a moto razr 2024 for like $500-600. So where are you getting $1800 as a starting price?

That may never happen and still doesn’t mean there isn’t a market for them. They need to keep improving the design and durability. Every person I talk to that has one loves it.

I mean most windows phone users I knew that has them loved them. They still miss them over a decade later.

We see what happened there.

With a foldable phone, we'll get a crease to go with the notch.

Tim Cook is a mediocre corporate suit with no vision that runs Apple according to the financial principles he learned in his MBA degree program. That's why instead of innovating, he copies horrible things from other companies: flat design (copied from Microsoft Zune), notch (copied from Essential Phone PH-1), curved display (copied from Samsung Galaxy Round), and now foldable display (copied from Royole FlexPai).

Either you go all in or you don’t. I’ll rather them not release one if it’s a test run. Apple never fully bought into the mini. It was a let’s see how the consumer reacts. People love them but little upgrades from 12 to 13 was a death blow. I’m afraid the same thing will happen here.
