My guess is that the review embargo lifts at 8AM PST tomorrow, although it may be 12PM to allow for more shipments to actually arrive at their destinations. I would assume that we will see a run on reviews and even podcasts over the next two days once the floodgates have been opened and the new Macs are in people's homes.

I suppose it's up to the OS (scheduler). Each thread moves from core to core every fraction of a second.

well yeah, but if it farms out chunks of equal sized work and waits for all cores to come back, slow ones could affect the outcome (like SIMD). I don't know how the benchmark works, so this is just a curiosity on my part.
