Howdy folks...

I also have an M1 stuck in "Package is delayed in transit." for like 3 days now.

It's a Space Grey MBA (7 core GPU) 16/1TB... ordered on 11/20.

Had an initial window of December 14th through the 22nd or something close... after it moved to shipped, it changed to December 18th and has stayed there, even though my tracking info hasn't budged since the 9th and it's stuck with the "Package is delayed in transit." message.

Ugh, what does this mean? I have 2 weeks off at the end of this month and I have all sorts of plans to use that time to get all setup and tackle some projects and if I don't get it before then it's really gonna suck for me.

This is the first "new" Mac I've bought in like 9 years and I could really use some positive things happening in my life right now with everything that's going on and having this thing gets delayed into January or something is really going to just be piling onto the absolute ****show that is my life right now.

It's the regular Christmas season plus we have COVID-19 related safety measures in most part of the world. It seems to be taking longer than usual process time.

Yes, I can both understand those things and still find it very frustrating.

I feel like the initial shipping estimation of almost a month already had those concerns built into the timeline. I guess not.

I mean, it could still arrive in the window. And that would be awesome... and if it doesn't, it doesn't. I'll still get it, just later... but it really will suck for me. This has been an unbelievable difficult period of my life and I just want my very expensive laptop in the allotted time frame they told me I would get it.

I know these sound like whiney FWP... and they are, I know that... but if it missed my 2 week off period, it's just going to be another paper cut on top of the other 10 million paper cuts I've suffered through this year.

Bleh.

I agree. They wildly underestimated shipping time frames. If they had shown a 2 month wait vs 2-3 weeks I would not have ordered an M1.

Same for me, at 1:22AM CST.

My guess is they will board the morning outbound flight at around 7:25AM CST if the previous data points in this thread proves right. However, it’s Saturday in China and I don’t remember seeing a status showing a flight on Saturday.
just got updated to departed from facility

Hoping for the same! My MBP 16/1 shipped out today and is in Shanghai, set to arrive Monday, December 21, but if it goes the way @palyons did, it'll be here on Mon/Tues Dec 14/15.

All this said, yes, it's pretty remarkable how there's a pandemic and yet we still get our shiny new MacBooks shipped across the globe in a matter of weeks.

What I've seen other companies do throughout the pandemic is underpromise and overdeliver. They'll say something will arrive in 5 days, but it shows up in 2 or 3 days. I rather get a nice surprise than a crappy disappointment.

Same situation here. Shipped today UPS telling me Dec 21. I’m tempering my expectations though

I'm very patient and understanding of the challenges everyone is facing right now... and all I want from companies is honesty. If you're not gonna have my dinner ready until 7:30, just tell me that when I order it. Don't tell me 6:30. All that does is make everything worse. This is happening at all my local takeout places and it's very frustrating. Can't you build this into the system? Don't blow smoke up my butt, just give me an idea. If you don't know, tell me it's going to be a while, don't just make up a time you know you can't hit.

My UPS shipment (MBA 16/1) is at my local UPS depot (N. Cal.) scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
My other MBA 16/1 shipped via FedEx still shows in Japan (tentatively scheduled for 12/15 delivery).
My MBA 16/1 shipped via UPS from China 12/8, delivered today 12/11.
Ordered 11/12, and was originally supposed to arrive 11/30-12/7. Last Apple estimate was 12/16.

My other MBA 16/1 shipped via Fedex from China 12/9, departed Memphis for CA this morning.
Estimated delivery 12/15 per Fedex.

Destination: Québec, Canada

Shipped: December 8th
Scheduled: December 18th

Current Status: Stuck in Shanghai since the day it Shipped "Package is Delayed in Transit. Delivery will be rescheduled."

This is the third day now on that status ?‍♂️
It updated earlier today with shanghai again, then it was in Korea with a delivery date (first time showing on ups) of the 21st. Now it's departed Incheon and scheduled delivery of 18th of December. Exactly what Apple had predicted all along...!

Tomorrow morning it should be landing in Louisville, Kentucky. I wonder what is next after that for a delivery in Quebec.

After a package leaves EPZ, CN does anyone have a idea where the next stop has been in the last few months? Anchorage?

From the UPS tracking I’m not quite sure of where my MBP is or what route it’s taking. Is it on a flight from Alaska or a flight from Korea? Anyone understand this tracking info?
