Mine's on was on processing but has been on preparing to ship since this morning. How long does it take them to ship it after it says preparing to ship?

Good question. Does “preparing to ship” really mean preparing to ship (“We’re boxing it up right now.”) or “It’s in the shipping queue”?

My 16/8/512 left Anchorage at 2:30pm today. Still scheduled for Monday delivery. I’m saying 50/50 shot at it, but will be live tracking the package if it becomes “out for delivery” in the morning.

I’m guessing tomorrow we get updates that the shipping date has been revised to Tuesday. No big deal. What’s another 24 hours?

My MBA 256/16 SG just arrived in Anchorage! Could that still mean a delivery tomorrow for SoCal?

Anchorage is just a layover, I believe. If it’s like the iPhones, it will go from Anchorage to the national hub, where it will formally clear customs. Then, it‘s shipped to the customer from there. So, it won’t be ready for domestic shipping until Tuesday.

I think pretty much everyone who's ordered a 16/512 MBP in this thread is still stuck on processing, myself included...

I ordered a 16/1T MBP and it is still in processing for Dec 4 - Dec 11

My MBA 256/16/8/7 order to Edmonton, AB (Canada) already went through Anchorage and on its way to Louisville for sorting (yes, I was also tracking UPS planes on FlightAware). UPS gave me a rescheduled delivery date of 11/19 after initially promising an 11/17 delivery date. Funny thing is that UPS also allowed me to change my delivery date for a fee, so now I’m out CAD 2.10 (including AB GST) just to bring it back to its 11/17 delivery date. Now UPS changed the service type from Worldwide Saver to Next Day Saver. Let’s see how this goes ?

I'm curious how you worked this out. My "Departed from Facility" in Anchorage is at 2:30 local time, but there are no UPS flights in the air that could correspond to this.

Mine (MBA 8/512) departed Anchorage at 8:47 on the 14th. No customs cleared status. Scheduled delivery is tomorrow between 2:15 and 6:15 (Maryland). I guess we shall see.

Interesting thing is that it apparently arrived at 8:36 and left at 8:47. Very short layover.

Hi iPhone friend! My 16gb Mac Mini is in HK with delivery set for Tuesday, Launch day. It's quite an Apple week here, launch day iPhone 12 Pro Max and then a Launch day M1 Mac!

Many packages fly as cargo on passenger flights.

I am guessing a refuel before continuing to Louisville. That or the arrival scan was late.

There is no official date for M1 like they had with iPhone 12 lineup.

Here in this LINK the official press release of iPhone 12 Pro. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says "Pricing and Availability", you will see it clearly as "availability beginning Friday, October 23".

However, the press release for M1 MacBook Air/Pro here in this LINK says "They will begin arriving to customers and will be in select Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers starting next week", again under "Pricing and Availability". Though the website says "Available on 11/17" but this could be availability at the stores maybe, we don't know.

I have way too many Macbooks (12", 13", 15", 16") so I don't have a need for an M1 MBP/MBA.

We have the same tracking status time stamps. I’m tracking UPS flight 83 on FlightAware. I believe it’s the one that carries the laptops as we type.

I agree. That's happened many times in the past. Yep, another 24 hours won't change life.
