I have a 16GB model shipping through FedEx that also says 11/20 delivery. However it is already at the local FedEx center. Will they really hold it until Friday or will they deliver today/tomorrow?

But I just got a notification that it is shipping and is currently in Eindhoven which means I expect to have it within 1-2 days, my bet is on friday at the latest

I was thinking of getting it from the official apple online store but it would take at least 2 weeks meanwhile big retailers here have them in stock and can be picked up tomorrow. The prices are the same. What would be the advantage of getting it from the official online store?

I got a 10% discount when I ordered on Veterans' Day. Well worth the wait.

No, but if its UPS sometimes they need you (or see you). Annoyingly they don't just leave it at the door step.

Does not say it requires a signature so I guess we shall see. The Wife is home so she should be able to receive/sign for it if required.

I got a note from Apple saying that my MBA 16/512 SG should be delivered today. And UPS is saying the same thing but I am not so sure as the tracker is not showing it "out for delivery" yet. So we will see.

Can anyone here with the mac mini or macbook pro comment on how loud the fan gets under load? Does it even get as loud as the intel ones did? Or does it just come on like half way due the the efficiency of apple silicon and just make a little relaxing whoosh?

Base MBP shipping progress - Toronto bound. LOL I could've just gotten it today at Apple store. Although it looks like Apple Store doesn't have availability for BTO yet, they only have 8gb MBPs and MBAs.

Try Best Buy - they are getting a lot of base models in their app so pickup possible today!

I can go pick up in-store today if I'm willing to get a 16G/1TB Air.. They don't seem to stock the 16G/512 .. Well I guess more storage is always a good thing. Can't see buying an 8GB/256 which is also available for pickup

Just canceled my order as I should be able to get one tomorrow at my local store.

I think I may do that as well since my M1 Mini pre-order has not shipped yet.

Exactly like last month when the 12 Pro iPhone was paid for on pre-order morning only to be held in limbo for 3 weeks....

Ended up getting the exact same phone (color, capacity, model, carrier) at the Apple store on launch weekend then shipping back the pre-order 2 weeks later after finally receiving it.

Is this going to be another email to Tim Cook ???

I do wish they place pre-orders in priority over in store walkins...

Why Apple can't get their **** together and send their local customers who paid up front and are eagerly awaiting to merely ship from Apple store to me - just behooves me!

I just got the "Out for delivery" update! I will be getting it shortly! Nice improvement from the original estimated delivery of 24-27!

Hate to say this, but I think it might not show up tomorrow since it just left China. The custom-config Macs are bit delayed.
