So according to the latest rumors, iPhone 8 won't ship until October, so it's safe to say Apple Retail stores won't have any iPhone 8 on September 22nd. It will be exclusively online..

You can blame me for that - company I work for usually offer staff iPhones at least a month after the official release. If I can't have it asap, no one can. :D

Not to mention Apple changing priority for upgrade members of where stock is prioritized. Regardless, it's a rumor, It doesn't offer anything consequential what may or may not happen. And that same rumor you're referring too, occurred similarly last year as well, which, was NOT accurate.

My schedule has been made! I work Monday (kill time); have Tuesday off (watch keynote live); work Wednesday (kill time); have Thursday off (prepare for the preorder pandemonium). Friday is a party (non-Apple related). [err I don't work full time btw, just in case someone freaks out why I have so many days off]

If all goes according to plan, I will have the following Friday off so I can be at the Apple store to pick up my new iPhone Edition / visit the UPS customer care center to pick it up.
