Yes, you can change your billing address information under your Apple account. Or your other option is you can alter where you want the Carrier to deliver the iPhone under preferences.

Good to know, but...

I seem recall last year for the iPhone 7 preorder...we could change the address on my Apple account settings before the preordering went live, but it defaulted back to the original address during the preorder process (and the shipping address fields were grayed and blocked out?). Maybe this is an carrier policy? I'm with AT&T.

I can't speak for AT&T, but under Apples preferences, you can just select what shipping address you want for default.

If buying on Apple Store using carrier upgrades, shipping defaults to the billing address associated with carrier. Last time I used it was when I got my mom the iPhone SE and I was unable to change the shipping address (quite possibly for security).

Ah yes, you are correct. This all rings a bell. So what about changing address on carrier website, then with Apple? Will that work?

I don't know how it works for different couriers but one I use in the uk lets me select where any packages coming to my home are delivered. So from the courier app, I can select my work address or a collection point near my home and they get re routed there.

Can you not do that for whoever usually delivers iPhones where you live?

Apple defaults to the billing account with the carrier so possible that might work. I'm not sure if there's any sort of delay in propagating address changes, though.

If buying through carrier website, the carrier will allow a different shipping address from the billing address (at least that's how it is with AT&T).

Only if you're willing to pay an extra fee to UPS or FedEx. :p

It's worth a shot. I don't see why it wouldn't work if I do it at least a week before the preordering goes live.

I typically go for the largest capacity, so I will do the iPhone x (or 8 or Edition), not sure on color until I see them. What about you?
I will go for the middle capacity as I currently have 128 and still have around 50 spare, I'm thinking the new Blush Gold but will wait until the keynote to make a definite decision (its between that or the silver)

I know that I'm going to get the one with 8 cameras, like in this video it's a spoof, lol.

I read in some places that Apple will release with only blush gold. That seems like BS to me. Do you think it'll be black and gold as the only options? what's the more accurate speculation?
