With the leaks coming in daily, my guess would be the keynote on the 6th. Has the Tuesday keynote ever fallen the day after Labor Day, though?

In both 2016 and 2015, the iPhone keynote happened on a Wednesday— 2 days after Labor Day.

High Probability the Keynote will be on the 6th for all purposes of previous timelines. The iPhone actual launch is another question in its own with a later launch this year reportedly rumored.

I agree that it will most likely be the 6th, especially considering Cook's revenue prediction for the quarter.

Well if it's not on Monday, then we know the keynote won't be on the 6th :(

According to this Guy new iPhone will go on sale on September 19 or 20 [the week starts on September 17]

Last year the Keynote was on September 7th (Wednesday), Preorders started on September 9th (Friday). The official iPhone 7 launch was Friday, September 16th.

Evan Blass is someone to follow, as he made predictions last year on Apple's launch history.

ok so we are getting close to the invites being sent out for the next Apple keynote (September) probably in the next couple of weeks. When do you guys think the event will take place? My guess is the 6th of September!
Apart from iPhones (everyone knows they are coming by now :)) what else do you expect to be announced at the keynote? My bet is Apple Watch series 3 and maybe a new Apple TV.

Maybe Apple will also take the opportunity to talk about the upcoming Homepod and iMac Pro. With regards to the iPhone's are you planning on upgrading?

So here we are :- @LoveToMacRumors Carrier sources indicate Apple iPhone 8 event date set for September 12

The site says that mobile phone operators have already been told when to expect the Apple announcement as they have to prepare inventory and marketing for the imminent new devices.

Assuming September 12th is the date, the iPhone 7s and 8 would go up for pre-order that same week, on Friday 15th September, with a release on the 22nd.

I doubt they will talk about how well they are doing in this keynote. They've skipped that in past keynotes and this one will be absolutely full of announcements (90% of which are already known haha).

Apple Watch
iPhone
Apple TV

For me there is one feature that guarantees it's worthiness of an upgrade to: at LEAST 0.5" increase in usable screen over my 4.7" iPhone.

Screen is the most important feature of a smartphone. This update therefore destroys all others in that respect.

I agree, I've been waiting for Apple to come with an OLED screen forever... That alone is worth the upgrade for me, and I'm on a 7+

If the rumors are true of the September 12th, Keynote - we have to wait 6 more days  LOL

Something tells me this is a controlled leak to take attention away from the Note 8 event today. September 12th, seems likely to be the event, with preorders on the 15th and launch on the 22nd. Invites will still probably go out next week, as the following week is Labor Day.

Destiny 2 drops on the 6th. I'll have plenty to do to keep me busy until the following Wednesday. Perfectly fine with waiting another week.
